On Guard for Thee Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Interesting strategy, as Canadians have certainly not practiced or demonstrated this capability or desire to date, with most living within 200 kilometers of the U.S border. I find an interesting, if troubling the current comparison and contrast with regard to military procurement. Lo those many years ago a Conservative government scrapped plans to build what was a great airplane and would have boosted the economy/now we have a Conservative government that wants to help wreck our eeconomy by buying a crap airplane. I think we should conclude to keep the Conservatives away from the bank account, especially with regard to aviation. Quote
Army Guy Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 Thats quit a reach back in time....If your ref to the Avro....and a major assumption that it would have boosted the economy.... I'd like to know how purchaseing 65 planes is going to wreck our economy, when Canadian industry has already recored profits off the F-35 and there is no contract signed yet.... I think this is more about pulling things out of that 1/4 inch speaker you have. Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.
