Tilter Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I was so relieved to hear that the our national representatives (or whatever) have definitively condemned honour killing, misogamy and all abrogation of the ill treatment of women in Islam. Phew--- glad that's all been outlawed. Now, when will the richest & most visible Arab nation allow women to drive? Quote

Tilter Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 Again, I'm pretty sure murder, and assault were already on the books. Only if a man or camel was assaulted or killed. Women are not worth mentioning in Islam except to condemn any free action by them Quote
greyman Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Only if a man or camel was assaulted or killed. Women are not worth mentioning in Islam except to condemn any free action by them It is illegal to kill or assault human beings in Canada. Quote

Now, when will the richest & most visible Arab nation allow women to drive? I'd rather fix the inequalities that exist right here in Canada than worry about whether a woman in another country can drive an automobile or not. Sooner or later each country must be responsible for fixing their own problems from within. We must lead by example and know that you can lead a horse to water but making him/her drink is up to themselves. Quote

I agree, especially in the case where some are determined to bring their barbaric baggage into our country. The list by the way, contrary to Canada's culture and laws is extensive. Shakeyhands Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Only if a man or camel was assaulted or killed. Women are not worth mentioning in Islam except to condemn any free action by them You really should educate yourself on Islam before you spout off. You'd be able to make yourself look a lot more intelligent, and less like a crazy person. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Sandy MacNab Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 It is illegal to kill or assault human beings in Canada. I'm sure there will be certain "cultures" provided dispensation if the lefty, politically correct have their way. Quote

Women are basically a mans posession there similar to a toaster or computer. I would end all contact and trade with SA, and publically tell the autocrats there to go f__k themselves, but beyond that theres not much we can do. Quote I question things because I am human. Michael Hardner Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I'm sure there will be certain "cultures" provided dispensation if the lefty, politically correct have their way. So NDP (and Liberal) voters would push for honour killings to be allowed ? Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
CANADIEN Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I'm sure there will be certain "cultures" provided dispensation if the lefty, politically correct have their way. And if right-wingers had their way, women would be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen, non-Whites would be deported, and every one would be converted to Christiannity by force... Now, if anyone thinks this is a stupid thing to say, they're right. But unlike you with you're posting, I have enough common sense to know it's stupid. Quote
DogOnPorch Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 So NDP (and Liberal) voters would push for honour killings to be allowed ? Just ignored. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Michael Hardner Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Just ignored. What does that mean specifically ? They would ask the courts to ignore honour killings ? Doesn't dispensation mean legal exemption ? Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
DogOnPorch Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 What does that mean specifically ? They would ask the courts to ignore honour killings ? Doesn't dispensation mean legal exemption ? It's just another mass murder...like any other mass murder. Happens all the time. It could be a hockey dad gone nutz or a Mennonite father furious at his text messaging daughters with Latino boyfriends. Who knows what us crazy Canadians (God save the Queen on her 60th) will do next....eh?? Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
