Lol, I think conservatives and liberals are equal in scandals... thats all of canadas history

not just the last decade

Liberals, Conservatives, new democrats, greens...they are all the same They want you to believe they are different. They have the same common goal. They work together. Most people are too stupid to realize this so they spend too much of their time on useless forums...looking and admiring their typing.

What's your yardstick? Number of scandals? Cleavage?

Me, I only care about our money! The Liberals scammed us out of possibly hundreds of millions of our tax money for their own ends to get elected in Quebec.

After watching the Gomery trials, it was obvious that only a small portion could be proven there was something the size of an iceberg below the water!

I don't know if ANY politicians will ever be able to play in the same league as the Liberals if your yardstick is theft of our money!

Most larger corporations would hire graduated MBAs for executive roles in the first place. This type of benefit is far from standard and would only apply to an exceptional individual who had climbed the corporate ladder through years of hard work to an exec position and needed some letters on his/her resume to back up the work experience.

BS much?

True story, MBA's and in fact CMA's are standard offerings for some managers in most large Corps. Not only that CPCFTW(!!!!) but they are also subsidize for all employees wishing to upgrade or even finish degrees.

That isn't even remotely true. The other countries are being less than honest with their accounting with regards to what was used for the event.

As Smallc said, other countries did not account for every single expenditure for their summits. Had they done that, their expenses would easily match what the Conservatives have spent. Google it sometime you might learn something.

One thing is clear. You don't know the difference between government projects where some folks question whether funds should have been spent on different ventures and government outright theft of taxpayer funds.

Do you honestly believe that th US spent less than 18M for a similar summit? Really? Canadian officials included all pertinent expenses. Other countries simply redirect money from other established budgets, and so it doesn't show up the same way.

No, and neither do you. That's the point. I do know that the summit in Canada came in far under budget, even with two sites. I also know that the 2002 G8 summit in Alberta was over 200M.

You either have no capacity for logic or you are deliberately dodging the issue, or both!

If you equate misspending of our taxes on projects that are still PROJECTS FOR THE CANADIAN PEOPLE with directly stealing hundreds of millions of dollars of our taxes and spending it on THE LIBERAL PARTY ITSELF then there's simply no point in talking to you at all.

What does this have to do with McGuinty?

I think Ornge comes within the Liberal's purview, by association, McGuinty "The buck stops (or doesn't in the Liberals case) here.

The OPP is investigating Ornge.

"ORNGE, which employs 400 people, receives $150 million in public funding each year."From our taxes, from the government dispersements.

Doesn't ORNGE come under the Ministry of Health which is in the Liberal Government. Isn't McGuinty defending his Ministry over Orange malfeasance?

McGuinty publicaly supports minister of health over ORNGE charges.

The McGuinty government was on the defensive during the first day of the legislature’s spring session, with opposition members accusing it of ignoring repeated warnings about problems at the province’s air-ambulance service.

Progressive Conservative MPP Frank Klees called on Health Minister Deb Matthews to resign, saying in Question Period on Tuesday that he believes a criminal probe into Ornge could lead to her office – an allegation he repeated outside the chamber.

Ornge to be restructured amid OPP probe

Auditors from Ontario's Ministry of Finance are probing all aspects of the Ornge air-ambulance service.

“It may well be that that criminal investigation reaches into the minister’s office,” he told reporters. “So there should be no impediment to that.”

Mr. Klees raised questions about Ornge 10 months ago. He has been on the outs with his caucus colleagues in recent months for defying Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak by running unsuccessfully for Speaker. But he received two standing ovations from his Tory colleagues in Question Period as he accused the government of trying to cover up the scandal swirling around Ornge.

Government officials, including Ms. Matthews, have known for at least a year that for-profit entities created by Ornge were doing business under the same roof as the publicly funded air carrier, Mr. Klees said.

Ms. Matthews called in forensic auditors in December to pore over Ornge’s financial records to determine whether taxpayers’ money was used for the private companies. Ornge receives $150-million a year to manage all aspects of the province’s air ambulance service.

When Harper defends his ministers during scandals hes "loyal" when Mcguinty does it its a cover up

once you so called conservatives start demanding honesty from harper the liberals will start demamding it from Mcguinty

Beautifying yes, getting elected yes , making friends money I will go with No. Tony doesnt have many friends in his riding (or anywhere else for that matter), although a ton of them voted for him.

At least we got the G20 summit out of it! Perhaps it didn't have to be Tony's riding which got beautified but SOME riding SOMEWHERE would have needed to be beautified and hold the summit!

The complete obliteration of the Liberal Party.

A Conservative majority after 2 minority govt's.

Something for those on the right to bring up anytime the Conservatives are caught with the hand in the money jar.

Not quite true.

It was in his riding but after the ball got rolling the addition of the G20 on top was realized to be too large for accommodations for all thus it had to be moved.

The money at this time was spent, including private money.

A brand new arena was not built, it was added onto

Just trying to get to 14000 posts before you mam

What you have to do then is troll back in really old threads, that have no bearing now, to find some that you were the last to post in, and then add a comment. It works for some on this forum, not only increasing their post counts (like anyone gives a shoite about that) bu thousands, but it also identifies you as an attention whore!!! Win-Win.
