olp1fan Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Better to act like tweens then to have sitting tween members! Another non-story you, on a boat to china, now! Quote
olp1fan Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Barack Obama raised almost $1 billion using such tactics. Was that bad? ---- In modern democracies, political parties must collect money from many, many people, and know who their voters are. I reckon that the federal Liberals are simply jealous that they can't/don't know how to exist in this modern world. The federal Liberal Party: a VHS cassette. you also on a boat to china, now! Quote

bud Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I think we'll survive this one... why the need to have this unconditional love for a political party? Quote http://whoprofits.org/
CPCFTW Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 why the need to have this unconditional love for a political party? I wouldn't say it's unconditional, but my values are only even remotely reflected by the cpc. A helicopter ride and some phone calls aren't going to change my values or the values of 40% of Canadians. Sorry to disappoint you guys, better get cracking on that party merger. Quote

Bryan Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Another non-story I disagree, and I think most serious Conservative Party members do as well. You sure won't find anyone on Blogging Tories defending what went on in Mount Royal. Despite what the upper brass of the party are saying publicly, internally they are pretty ticked off about it. The people in that EDA are being scrutinized to find out who actually did the calling, because some people are going to be fired over this. I'm not sure that there is a way to properly deal with this that won't look like the National Party is just doing a CYA. Even if they came out and identified those responsible and fired them publicly, the media would still find a way to turn that around on them. Quote
MiddleClassCentrist Posted December 2, 2011 Author Report Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) why the need to have this unconditional love for a political party? Some people find religious sense of purpose in politics. These people aren't normally worth addressing in discussion because they won't budge in their stance or even acknowledge that that even some of your argument makes sense. Edited December 2, 2011 by MiddleClassCentrist Quote Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.
tducey82 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Cotler is one of those politicians that you respect no matter your political beliefs. Really disappointed the Conservatives would do something like this especially in a seat where they would have no chance of winning. Quote

jbg Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Better to act like tweens then to have sitting tween members! Good comeback but it does seem childish and unprofesssional. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
