lol, didnt you read they are paying 20+ millions a year and yet they said they aren't gonna be able to be able to balance the budget

sounds like a big f****** fail to me

Yeah, but you aren't very well informed. you don't understand how the inner workings work. Don't feel bad; you have plenty of company in that regard.

Yeah how stupid of them to ask for the assistance of professional consultants in determining policy instead of simply watching a David Suzuki or Michael Moore documentary like the NDP!

That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. What proof do you have that the NDP develops policy from watching Michael Moore or David Suzuki? How about you contribute rather than lend to taking swipes at shadows.

Liberals. Didn't they raid the EI fund at one time, allowing them to look like financial wizards, fooling the fools in the process?

The Canadian public knew about it... its not like they did it secretly

and it was necessary and the public went along with it

but good try

What public went along with it? Liberal partisans? If the CPC did that you lefties would freak out. That's the hypocrisy of many in this country.

So you'd be OK if the CPC did the exact same thing, and came out of it looking like economic geniuses? Honest answer required please.

yeah, lets continue the hug-a-thug approach to crime. Let's keep relying on the U.S. for protection. Let's give pedophiles and violent criminals slaps on the wrists...to hell with putting them in prisons. Yeah...sounds good.

we're in the biggest defecit of our history.. now is not the time to spend spend spend

the libs in the 90s even cut down their spending by a lot

why cant the "fiscal conservatives"?

It isn't really the biggest deficit in history (and this year's was much smaller anyway). Our economy is almost three times as big as it was, and so the total number is meaningless.

That is true. Most people are blind to the truth. Canada is not perfect, but we are in much better shape than many.

from a 2009 article

http://www.thestar.com/iphone/news/canada/article/742220--flaherty-s-deficit-plan-take-an-axe-and-cut-deep

OTTAWA–Faced with the largest federal deficit in history, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says he will start looking for programs to axe and government assets to sell off as soon as the economy recovers.

They’re not paying “20 million a year”….the contract runs till March of next year……Spending 20 million to hire a battery of lawyers and accountants to find ~ 4 billion in savings is a hell of a deal……..OJ Simpson, it is estimated, spent close to 6 million for his defence team in the 1990s……

You need a better example than OJ LOL and what should happen if the Cons manage to not cut down the defecit by 2015 like they promised? will you vote for them?

probably
