To hell with Greenland.....Turks and Caicos is where it's at

We already had our chance with them and sloughed them off.

the people in greenland would disagree...you're really intent on another falkland islands event aren't you?...with us re-playing the part of argentina with the same end result...

Right, because you know those Danes are really scary with all their Vikings and stuff. Oh. Wait. That was a thousand years ago. I'm shhh-akin'.

Maybe we can make a trade. Greenland for a couple of cases of Levis and some health care. They'll go for that. :D

It's the potential can of worms of opening up the constitution to do so,

Just make them a territory. The bigger problem is the potential flood of Haitian refugees.

constitution should be opened anyways it's way to rigid as it is in regards to change...

Yeah, because Constitutions should be changed with every populist whim.

Ah, but Turks and Caicos is already well off and is a British overseas territory. If there is a Haitian refugee problem, they would already have it along with puerto Rico and the virgin and cayman islands.

I think it's the constitution and the red tape.

Ummm, no, actually. Major changes to the US Constitution have similar requirements. Canada's Constitution is no more "locked in" than any other, there are simply strict requirements that, as of now, don't have the political will to be met for any desired change.

Oh, and the wattage of a lightbulb can be changed quite easily. There are actually very few things that require the use of the 7/50 formula, and even fewer things that require that the unanimous consent formula be used.

There you go forgetting about the NORAD defence perimeter again. There are very few countries that could actually defeat Canada in Canada. France might be one - might be....and that's assuming that the USA would sit idly by...which they wouldn't.
