cybercoma Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Complete nonsense. The Tea Party is about less government. OWS the complete opposite. They all want handouts from the government and from taxpayers.Except for the part, you know, where OWS is criticizing the government for handouts. Quote
blueblood Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Corporations are HEAVY users of taxpayer funded public infrastructure and should pay taxes accordingly, but they don't pay a fair share - ie, they don't pay all their costs of doing business in Canada. How so, they use it the same as everyone else, why not a flat tax? Corporations employ people, how many people do you employ? BubberMiley Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 The Tea Party is about less government. OWS the complete opposite. They all want handouts from the government and from taxpayers. I thought you said you didn't know what OWS wanted. I can help you. They are opposed to the bailouts and the overall decline of the middle class. So is the Tea Party. Shady Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 They are opposed to the bailouts Because they want the bailouts instead. Quote
dre Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Complete nonsense. The Tea Party is about less government. OWS the complete opposite. They all want handouts from the government and from taxpayers. Theyre actually both a reaction to the same thing (even if they dont know it). The people in charge of the governments financial apparatus and the people in charge of top private financial firms are the exact same bunch of folks. The guy working for the government who gave Goldman Sachs two huge bailouts totally billions of dollars? He was a vice president at goldman sachs So really the Teabaggers and the Occupiers are angry at the exact same people they just dont know it. Quote I question things because I am human. cybercoma Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Because they want the bailouts instead. So you're good with welfare, as long as it's corporate welfare. Understood. Quote
dre Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Complete nonsense. They want jobs and opportunities to become taxpayers. And they want the 1% to become taxpayers too, and stop sucking money out of taxpayers. Stop corporate tax breaks, corporate subsidies and corporate fraud, and finally make corporations and wealthy predators STAND ON THEIR OWN TWO FEET, GROW UP, AND JOIN THE REAL WORLD. And it's about friggin time the whiners sucked it up and stopped blackmailing government for OUR money. It absolutely IS your money. The banks create it from thin air... based on your ability to produce goods and services, and the governments endorsement of their ongoing fraudulent activities (lending money they dont even have). The money flying around in the casino known as wallstreet is as much yours as anyone elses. Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger
CPCFTW Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 Haha great link. I guess I'm not the first to see the similarities.. Quote
BubberMiley Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Because they want the bailouts instead. Who? The tea partiers? Yes, that's true. They feel it's "their money," and it probably will come out of their pensions. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
GostHacked Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Because they want the bailouts instead. Who do you think should have gotten a bail out? Quote
Shady Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Who do you think should have gotten a bail out? Nobody. But let's remember, the banks have at least paid back the money they were loaned, with interest. So it actually made taxpayers money in the end. Quote
GostHacked Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Nobody. But let's remember, the banks have at least paid back the money they were loaned, with interest. So it actually made taxpayers money in the end. So when do I get my cut? Quote
Shady Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 So when do I get my cut? Ask the government. Quote
CPCFTW Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 So when do I get my cut? You did get your cut. It went to the Chinese government to pay back loans for welfare, unemployment, and government pension payments to your neighbors and other citizens. Sweet deal eh?
