blueblood
This is getting ugly ctv Wow!!! We have union supporters resorting to beating up women and threatening a female minister with breaking her legs. That is lower than low, beating somebody up half your size because they have an opinion. Unions cry about their freedom to associate, yet with this nonsense seem quite content to deny others their freedoms.

That was wrong, they shouldn't have threatened to break her legs.Should have just broken them to begin with.

What is uglier is painting a general picture based on a news story of something specific. By your reasoning we should run from the police because they beat up people half their size on a regular basis and even murder some. Oh, and they are unionized too. Oh, and they are unionized too. Shwa we've been over this before. You don't understand the meaning of the word "reason". The fact that you even said the above shows just how poorly you're able to put the puzzle pieces together. You're a square peg in a round hole sort of guy. capricorn
This is getting ugly Quebec construction unions are fighting to keep the power they have over which workers will work and where, (or which workers won't get work) on construction sites. It's not hard to figure that if you filed a grievance against a union or you crossed them, you will be blackballed. It's also a great reward system for those workers who show loyalty to union bosses. The explosive feud over job placements in the Quebec construction industry became nastier Tuesday as the Liberal presiding over the hearings on a proposed bill to limit union powers reported feces was spread on his office door overnight.Allegations of intimidation also continued to swirl Tuesday as the Quebec Construction Commission reported it had received more than 60 complaints from contractors, workers, and project managers about intimidation and illegal union activities following Monday's wildcat strikes. "And the phone lines just keep on ringing," said Quebec Labour Minister Lise Theriault. She noted that more than 150 construction sites across the province were closed or paralyzed by the sudden work stoppage by members of two major unions - the Quebec Federation of Labour (QFL) and the Conceal provincial du Quebec des métiers de la construction, known as l'International. Both unions are against the proposed bill that would see them lose power over who may work on construction sites in the province. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Labour+sparks+threats+vandalism+walkouts/5607807/story.html Unlike the 70s, there are now video cameras on all the major construction projects. Not to mention, everyone on site probably carries gadgets like iPhones. Any construction union found to be involved in illegal activity could face heavy fines. Yet those penalties are a drop in the bucket compared with the billions they collect in union dues annually. Those unions are in a fight to maintain their power over the entire construction industry in Quebec. Fines will not crimp their style. More in the following cyberpresse article. http://www.cyberpresse.ca/actualites/quebec-canada/politique-quebecoise/201110/25/01-4460904-chantiers-paralyses-bureaux-de-deputes-vandalises-pres-de-60-plaintes.php Marois and the PQ will not take a position on Bill 33 until they have heard from all sides. For the time being, this shields them from the vandalism, intimidation and threats experienced by the Liberals and supporters of Bill 33.
