Guest Derek L Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Cain Squeaks Ahead of Obama in New General Election Poll Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/10/17/cain-squeaks-ahead-obama-in-new-general-election-poll/#ixzz1b5YiXm1l Well back when he first announced, I thought Gov. Perry might take the lead in the GOP race and would be battling Obama next year……….And there still is plenty of time left, but in this recent poll, Herman Cain (Who has raised 5 million dollars to date) is shown to just barely lead Obama (Who’s raised 100 million to date) in the head to head race……….Cain is currently just behind Romeny in the GOP race, for the sake of argument, let’s say he’d win………How would Cain make out vs. Obama? Does the 9-9-9 plan have merit? Or, as I speculated in the Perry thread, will Cain just end up as a solid (and likeable) VP candidate? Quote
lukin Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Cain would be an excellent president. America needs him. Quote
Guest Derek L Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Cain would be an excellent president. America needs him. I defiantly think he’s likeable and has a Reaganesque charm about him….I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop and the media to report he had a taste for the whores or relied on illegal aliens to prop up his pizza empire. Bonam Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 A 9% sales tax has no chance to make it through any kind of congress, therefore the 9-9-9 plan is a pipe dream, without merit. Quote

And what's the 9 percent income tax, chopped liver? It would take a while to work, but to have that kind of a tax code would help out the economy. Its bold and at least its an idea instead of bash obama. It just would never pass congress. The only reason to promote an idea that obviously could never be implemented is to score political points. Of course, that's what campaigning is all about. When it comes right down to it, 9-9-9 is just Cain's version of "hope and change", a slogan. That being said, I certainly agree with the general principle of simplifying the tax code. Quote

bud Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) A 9% sales tax has no chance to make it through any kind of congress, therefore the 9-9-9 plan is a pipe dream, without merit. cain is using pizza-like marketing to get to the simpletons. pizza 2-2-2! er, tax 9-9-9! cain is a crook. he worked for the federal reserve. he would be indebted to the special interest groups as much as obama is. if americans want real options, then they have 4 choices: a) obama/romney/perry/cain/etc. ron paul c) ralph nader d) the little leprechaun guy with the hot wife (his name escapes me) - that's if he runs as an independent Edited October 18, 2011 by bud Quote http://whoprofits.org/
