William Ashley Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 (edited) So it seems that Tahrir square is a potential flashpoint again... however perhaps the military will just let it sit there - as it is a peaceful protest. A love in... http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/lack-of-reforms-in-egypt-spark-uprising-in-tahrir-square/article2092043/ I'm very currious to see if this escalates. it seems impossible they can pressure the military to turn egypt over to anarchy... afterall its their day jobs. GostHacked Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 It actually never really stopped. But it is getting more media attention it seems. What is happening in north Africa and the Middle East, wont' be solved overnight. Hunker down boys, it's gonna be a long one. Quote
Jack Weber Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 Is anyone shocked by this? A country, like Egypt, where the military has so much power, will likely never become "democratic".The Egyptian military has far too much to lose in that scenario. It would seem that the Army there, basically allowed a little "show" a few months ago,and now, is re-exerting its authority over the populous of the state. Oleg Bach Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 Clinton and Obama suck up to the Muslim Brotherhood - while Coptic Christians are in the early stages of being genocided, much like the Jews were. Quote
