Now that he is in the spot light ,we will now see what type of a guy he really is.

But according to the article you post, we already know what type of person he is. A bad person, evidently. So you don't agree with the piece you posted?

Wow. That is a horrible, insulting comparison. Heather Mallick. Wow.

It is, but truth is truth. Read the piece carefully: the hyperbole, the vitriol, the partisanship, the drooling; it's all there.

Wouldn't a better comparison be to compare Levy to Hitler? It would be less harsh, for starters.

:)

I think the Hitler refernces are overdone.

We're now starting with Mallick and Coulter comparisons instead.

It is just a start, not going to make a decision on one article.

It's insulting...to Mallick.

Even the left has to be embarressed by her.

:) But you're the one who just posted a similar-type of diatribe.

I did not see much in the way of over-the-top rhetoric in that article. In no way is it like Mallick's scribbling.

From the article:

In June of 2000, he tried to convince councillors the city should erect "creative" emergency shelters - trailers, tents and mobile homes - to allow the homeless to live in downtown parks all summer.

[...]

His [sic] outdid himself, however, in October of 2000 when he convinced his NDP pals on council to grandstand for eight long days at council in an attempt to derail the $1-billion contract to ship Toronto's garbage to the abandoned Adams Mine site near Kirkland Lake.

The deal eventually fell through and we can thank Layton for spearheading the back-up plan - that is, to send Toronto's trash using up to 200 trucks daily along Hwy. 401 to a Michigan landfill site, a far more costly and environmentally unfriendly deal which ended just last year.

Oh no he deee'nt!

SPEARHEADED the backup plan!? To dump the garbage in an existing landfill instead of creating a new one?! What, he didn't even try to eat any of it or give it to his homeless friends?

And this is going to make Harper the happiest man in Canada. I could see it now, after a questionable policy is passed and the press confront him, he'll say "Why are you talking to me? The NDP are the ones who sell your papers." :P

No, "poverty pimps" (referencing not Layton, but on-the-ground workers and volunteers) is simply an apt and sober assessment of those who work and struggle on behalf of society's poor.

If one is a reactionary elitist, that is.
