capricorn Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 CBC has called a Conservative majority. Don't you just love consensus? Let's hope this works its way to the House of Commons in a reworked Parliament. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers
ToadBrother Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 CBC has called a Conservative majority. Yup, eating my words. I didn't think they could pull it off. But I'm not seeing a lot of vote splitting. It honestly looks like a combination of the two trends, and the Liberals and the Bloc have simply melted down. I said a few days ago, I wouldn't care about a Tory majority if a Federalist party penetrated in Quebec, and that much is true. The Bloc has been decimated. So, from my perspective, this is a damned good election. Quote

ToadBrother Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Don't you just love consensus? Let's hope this works its way to the House of Commons in a reworked Parliament. Now Harper has four years to prove that he can run the show on his own. And Layton has four years to figure out how to make these results stick. I suspect Layton will have the harder job. Quote

ToadBrother Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 (edited) You've been the most negative anti-Conservative on this site. I like watching guys like you flip the mask. I was negative against their Parliamentary tactics. But of course, someone like you wouldn't notice that. You showed an absolute hatred for Parliament. Edited May 3, 2011 by ToadBrother Quote

ToadBrother Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Jack and his newbie caucus will cut their teeth while tasting new found power. They still have a lot to learn. A lot of the vote in Quebec is protest vote, and protest votes will, if not cemented, flip somewhere else. Some of these new MPs are, by all accounts, pretty weak. Quote
capricorn Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I want to hear punked's opinion on this election Committed party members like punked are probably at some candidate's headquarters, following a hard day of getting out the vote. I respect his dedication. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers

ToadBrother Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I for one was all ears on your related posts Toad. Thank you. Thanks. I would like to explain myself, since Lukin made his accusation. I've said many times I'm a fiscal conservative by nature, but I had no love for Harper, but could probably have swallowed his majority if the worthless jerk who is my Conservative MP wasn't there. And it looks like James Lunney may be out, so hopefully they pick someone who isn't a Creationist anti-science blowhard who is all but invisible in his riding. Quote
