nittanylionstorm07 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Before too long, Shady's going to start providing polling numbers from 2008. Shady has a long-running record of talking absolute crap, particularly when he's in panic mode. I honestly can't tell if he just isn't smart enough to understand the things he is talking about or if he is just a complete, utter troll. My opinion of him keeps shifting between these two things. Harry Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 And as well Nanos has been lagging the rest of the polling firms in what's going on out there with this orange crush. Quote
Shady Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 They don't release Leadership Index numbers until 4:00 PM. Those numbers are from April 24. Please learn how to read and comprehend things. It's a 3 day rolling average including April 26, which was yesterday. Learn how to read. Quote
Shady Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 And as well Nanos has been lagging the rest of the polling firms in what's going on out there with this orange crush. Ah, more attacking of the messenger. What's wrong, are you deflated now that the NDP have plateaued and begun to sink back to their usual numbers? Quote

Go here: http://www.nanosresearch.com/main.asp That is the Nanos Research homepage. Now look at "Leadership Index- 4:00 PM" box which is a separate box from every other box. Now go down to the bottom of the box. What date does it say? April 24. It will say that until they release today's info later. Quote

mikedavid00 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 It is now Layton who Canadians Correction. "It is now Layton, who Quebecers and Immigrants..." (that is what is really happening here. Now I'm watching CPAC and the biasness from the media is rampant. It's obvious they're all plants trying to make Harper look bad by yelling out questions and calling him names. It's like Obama all over again) Quote ---- Charles Anthony banned me for 30 days on April 28 for 'obnoxious libel' when I suggested Jack Layton took part in illegal activities in a message parlor. Claiming a politician took part in illegal activity is not rightful cause for banning and is what is discussed here almost daily in one capacity or another. cybercoma Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Someone needs to call John Ivison up and get him to explain exactly how the NDP in the driver's seat is going to cause stagflation. Quote

Tilter Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Here's the crux of the problem for the Cons. It is now Layton who Canadians want as their leader as this just released Forum poll points out so voters are beginning to tune Harper out. Forum Leadership Index for Best Prime Minister Layton - 33% Harper - 32% Ignatieff - 14% And Cons have confirmed privately that their support is caving into the orange wave in BC. don't get too much orange paint just yet, most Ontarians puke green at the thot of orange Quote
cybercoma Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Correction. "It is now Layton, who Quebecers and Immigrants..." (that is what is really happening here. Now I'm watching CPAC and the biasness from the media is rampant. It's obvious they're all plants trying to make Harper look bad by yelling out questions and calling him names. Maybe if Harper dressed up in traditional cultural costumes himself instead of trying to recruit those funny ethnic minorities, he might have been more successful with that vote. Quote

ToadBrother Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The Tory supporters have completely lost their minds. It's just desperation. In part, it's to convey the illusion that the Tories can somehow still eek out a majority, to convince swing voters to color their ballot blue, and in part it's because they're profoundly emotionally incapable of accepting that the order of things has profoundly shifted. They could put up with an ascending Liberals, because that's part of the traditional tug and pull of Canadian politics, but what scares them crapless is the possibility that the NDP are about to rewrite the traditional electoral rules. I think you'll find Conservatives are far more rational and certainly not as angry as Liberals or as naive as the NDP. The rise of the NDP says more about the last remnants of the Liberal Party than anything else. I think this "profound" change is healthy for Canadian politics. At a minimum, it is engaging the electorate and lets face it, it's fun to cheer on the underdog. We may be seeing a re-run of 1993 or 1997 where the PC's were decimated and the Reform Party took 50 or 60 seats - allowing the Liberals to gain majorities. It appears the Liberal Party is heading towards a similar annihilation with the NDP becoming the Reform-of-the-Left. Let Canadians make their choice. Harry Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 It is just getting worse and worse each day for Harper. Bruce Carson Scandal Greased by Harper's Oil Sands AgendaFederal millions set up PM advisor to push petro interests from U of Calgary. A special Tyee investigation. Everyone that is, except the Prime Minister. Harper, a tough guy on crime, acts appalled and abruptly refers the whole matter to the RCMP. The scandal seemingly ends. But that's not the full truth, let alone the real scandal. In fact, the Bruce Carson affair is a much darker tale about the character of the Harper government and its abuse of the public trust. And it goes like this: Harper's key political troubleshooter and problem fixer is lobbied for money for a new university think tank. He then leaves the Prime Minister's Office and becomes executive director of that same think tank: the Canada School of Energy and the Environment. It's mostly funded by a $15-million grant from the Harper government. The former senior advisor alters the school's mandate to permit government lobbying and policy development on the oil sands. He then lobbies for more federal money, $25 million, and gets it. He also works for several of his former associates (three cabinet ministers) and directs a joint industry and government campaign to improve the image of the oil sands industry. http://thetyee.ca/News/2011/04/27/CarsonOilSands/ Quote
