Mr.Canada Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Answering questions regarding Tory election platform and budget. He is a great speaker and gives Canada straight answers. He could be Canada's next father after PM Harper steps down. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog
Posc Student Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 One of my favorites, I could support him as CPC leader. Quote
Smallc Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) He is a great speaker and gives Canada straight answers. I've never seen him do that. He certainly didn't do it on Question Period this morning. He's a pompous ass.....and I'm pretty sure he's gay. Maybe you could make a video? Edited April 25, 2011 by Smallc Quote
Mr.Canada Posted April 25, 2011 Author Report Posted April 25, 2011 It's nice listening to a man give straight answers to Canadians from Canadians. A lot of integrity is coming through to the viewers. They must be in awe of this mans prose and the way he weaves words. He's like a linguistic magician. Stunning and freakishly awe inspiring. We may be having Bairdmania at some point. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog

Maybe you could make a video? I think as long as gay people pretend to be straight and don't tell Mr. Canada they are gay it is ok with him. Quote

Posc Student Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I really like John Baird and I think he is great speaker, I'm watching CPAC and he's doing a good job. I do feel bad when he has to defend many of Harper's scandals and screw up and defend them, I'm sure he has felt like an idiot a few times defending him. I think he'd be a great leader, he's fiscallly conservative and socially liberal. He is also very well respected by members of all the parties. Quote

betsy Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I like John Baird. He really explains the details, and also honest to point out what the Party can try to do but can't promise. Quote
betsy Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) I've never seen him do that. He certainly didn't do it on Question Period this morning. I've seen him on Question Period with the NDP guy Dewar. Mr Baird was kind enough to say that he likes Dewar.....a positive gesture I've yet to see from the Liberals. You could see that Dewar also has respect for Baird even though they're on opposing sides. Edited April 25, 2011 by betsy Quote
betsy Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) and I'm pretty sure he's gay. Maybe you could make a video? Whether he's gay or not is not the issue. The issue is: is he good at his job? And I think, yes he's darn good! Do you have anything against gays? You seem to be mocking or ridiculing them when you mention making a video! Smallc Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Whether he's gay or not is not the issue. I think you missed the joke...or maybe you just don't know Mr. Canada's history all that well. Quote

What smallc is referring to is Mr. Canada once promised all of us he was going to make a documentary of the Gay Pride Parade in Toronto so he could film all the gross sex acts to show us how wrong we were about it. Posc Student Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Not the members I have talked to. John Baird has been voted by MPs as Parliamentarian of the Year. I've heard many times about how well respected he is and how different he is outside the House of Commons. http://www2.macleans.ca/2010/06/02/best-overall-john-baird/ Quote

betsy Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Joh Baird and 'honest' inthe same sentence.... He honestly explained to the caller what they can only try to do, and what they cannot promise to do! For a politician to unequivocally admit that, that's honesty! Quote

Molly Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I'll never forget watching him answering for the first proroguation. The bs was flying at a rate of 6 or 7 outright falsehoods to a spittle-laced sentence, delivered as from a gattling gun, with no gaps left for questions or factual corrections. It was amazing to behold. I've never seen anything like it before or since, except, of course, from Baird himself. Honest! He personifies all the things that make me so virulently anti-Harperite! Ok so I'm not the only one then who can recall vivid memories of his spittle flying tirades...When the term frothing at the mouth is used to describe a politician, John Baird's mug should be used to illustrate that it does indeed happen. Maybe you could make a video? So you're saying that among the bad things about him are that he's pompous, doesn't give straight answers, and ... you think he's gay? Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy
g_bambino Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Funny how this evoke a mental image of posturing Liberals! But, of course, it's perfectly okay when a Conservative minister of the Crown does it. Right? Quote

You must not fully know Mr. Canada's history on these boards. Smallc was directing a jab at Mr. Canada, who's previously publicly hyperventilated over homosexuality, not at Baird. Quote
