Harry Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Why in the world would a candidate running to become a member of Parliament hang around with the likes of Rapudaman Singh Malik? Dosanjh says Tory rival campaigned with B.C. man acquitted in Air India caseEvidence entered during the trial revealed Malik provided financial assistance to the family of Inderjit Singh Reyat, the only man convicted in the bombing. Reyat pleaded guilty to manslaughter for supplying parts to make the bombs that brought down an Air India jet. Young has lived in Vancouver all her life, Dosanjh noted. "She couldn't have been ignorant of Mr. Malik. Mr. Malik is an instantly recognizable face to those who have followed the news in British Columbia over the last 25 years." In a statement released late Friday Young strongly denied any involvement with Malik. http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5hXgAeQ4F2tLu6ERh1wcqTJDVnSRw?docId=6643421 Edited April 23, 2011 by Harry Quote

What do you think of Ignateiff's judgement for doing an interview with a known Sikh terrorist supporter, even though he was told about the man's past prior to the interview? Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy

What I want to know is the motive of Dosanjh. He almost lost the last election. There was a recount if I'm not mistaken. He's on the edge. The way allegations are flying around these days....like the Liberals are in a weird frenetic voodoo dance....I don't even wanna care even if he say Young gave Malik the bomb to blow Air India up! As someone posted in another thread, odds are that she was invited by some school official, and didn't personally know that the guy was going to be there. Pliny Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I used to live in Dosangh's riding. Suffice it to say he is a political animal to the core. I would put nothing past him in his effort to win an election. Quote I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.

Well while highly unlikely that someone such as Wai Young who associates themselves with a known terrorist would succeed in being elected, I will concede that there's probably no shortage of terrorist sympathizers who view the Conservative party as the one they most closely align themselves with.Peas in a pod and whatnot... That said.. I have to agree with Harry. She's toast. Bonam Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hmm, this does somewhat demotivate me from voting for her. Nonetheless, Wai Young doesn't matter one iota in the end, it's all about how many seats which party gets. MPs are mostly just vote bots for the party leader anyway. I'll probably still vote con in this riding, though with considerably less enthusiasm. I still hate Dosanjh more anyway, he pissed me off to no end whenever I heard him talking on the radio, which was often. Quote

She goes to a school in her constituency, for a meeting. She claims she had no idea of the person involved, regardless of whether or not this is true, Harper comes back publicly stating that there is no place for them in the party. This equates to "aligning themselves with terrorist sympathizers?" Never mind the fact that Ignatieff did an interview with a terrorist supporter, disclosing in full, in advance, that he was aware of all the circumstances. Meanwhile in the article that you posted, Malik has now switched to back Dosanjh because of Harper's comments. But you have no criticism of this whatsoever? There is no hypocrisy here whatsoever? Did Dosanjh seek or choose to associate himself with Malik in order to gain support? No. If Malik has now chosen to switch to support Dosanjh then that is his choice and has no bearing on Dosanjh's campaign.Personally I want both of them to lose so either way it's a win win situation for the party which I am supporting. That said, the fact remains that Harper has now had multiple candidates either directly involved with supporting terrorism or associating themselves with terrorist sympathizers. And in both cases, has chosen to ignore the ties and permit these candidates to continue running under the Conservative party banner. Says a lot about his willingness to permit anything as long as it gains him his precious majority.. Harry Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) Dosanjh was proably going to lose his seat before the Young/Malik encounter. Either Young screwed up or her handlers screwed up big time. Either way it is now going to cost her the Vancouver South seat she probably would have won otherwise as the Liberals and Dosanjh were on the ropes. These mistakes add up and eventually poof no majority. How dumb can you be! Edited April 24, 2011 by Harry Quote
Harry Posted April 25, 2011 Author Report Posted April 25, 2011 Wai Young won't even speak about her private meeting with Malik, and she was absent from an all candidate's meeting today - she is finished. Quote
