Mr.Canada Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 This video lays out the facts for you in an easy to follow fact based message. PM Stephan Harper wants to crack down on illegal smuggling and bogus claimants and all three opposition parties vote against the bill. Are they pro human smuggling? Their vote would suggest yes. All three opposition parties also are against detaining illegal migrants in Canada. Do they just want illegal people walking free amongst the law abiding Canadians? Again their vote would suggest that yes they would. They also oppose stronger sentences for human smugglers. How can we trust Ignatieff and his coalition to keep Canada and Canadians safe given these facts? William Ashley Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) They were able to deport Tamil Tigers without it. Are you against humanitarian claims to refugee status, sometimes people can't leave on planes or official ports of entry in their own country because they are persecuted. For instance the US has no fly lists. In other instances governments have out hit lists. Other individuals may be political prisoners. People need to leave via non legal means sometimes just to survive and flee persecution. Sometimes illegal entry is for humanitarian reasons. Breaking the law for a greater cause or to prevent a more heinous crime is a lessor moral evil. In instances such as articial boundries there is not much of a real moral issue since respectful humans should recognize it is not possible to seek a better life away from persecution in the system established to give power to governments over people, rather than freedom. While this may not fit every mold, and this does not advocate error, Canada should be secure enough to know when this happens and protect Canada accordingly. Although I think work camps need to be established, labour to repay the fees to their repatriation. Dead weight is no good for Canada. We should insure those coming to Canada are integrated, take on equal debts to society, and help nurture a stronger Canada. (and they deported them back to SriLanka after they were found to be Tigers....VERY SCARY http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Sri_Lanka ) http://www.france24.com/en/20100107-video-showing-execution-tamils-authentic-un-envoy-says-sri-lanka Edited March 19, 2011 by William Ashley Quote I was here.

Tamils can freely leave, i.e. apply first. Not just in Sri Lanka and also in number of countries they visited before, like Thailand for example. Why didn't they? They spent wad of money to get here ahead of anyone else in line. Quote

ToadBrother Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 didn't even notice the coalition reference the first time I saw this... nice one Mr C!!!! And let's remind everyone that the inspiration for a coalition with the NDP and the Bloc was first dreamed up by Stephen Harper. Quote
