bush_cheney2004 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Not at first. However, to say that he wouldn't let them in is equally as stupid. There are relief workers there now. It'll take a while to build up trust, but it'll be the only sustainable way to work toward regime change. At this juncture, anything else would result in failure. Then why didn't Canada leave Aristide in power (Haiti)? Plenty of relief workers there! LOL! Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Nicky you write very well and are idealistic and I admire both and its harder to argue your position that my American friend Bush's. To be honest with you I am with the old grump Bush on this one but I respect what you said and who knows maybe it is possible the next regime opens up a bit to the West. Time will tell. Yes come change has to come gradually and not with a sledgehammer. You make eloquent sense but from a purely crude and practical perspective do North Koreans have any time to slowly change or will they all starve to death first? Sometimes unfortunately wide spread starvation triggers violent change. That is always a possibility in North Korea. Quote
lukin Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 like the generals of Miramar or China the N Korean leadership retains power by looking after the military first at the expense of the civilians...like all other military supplies food will have been stockpiled, rice is very storage friendly...and as in any major war food shortages will hit both sides... I'm still trying to find Miramar. .and he has an amazing tolerance for debating banjo pickin' idjots, i have them all on ignore they're not worth my time.. I wonder if those banjo-pickin idiots know where Mirimar is? Do you , waldo?? Quote
jbg Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I'm still trying to find Miramar. ************** I wonder if those banjo-pickin idiots know where Mirimar is? Do you , waldo?? I think the "banjo-pickin idiot" a/k/a either Mr. W don't know it's spelled "Myanmar". Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." bloodyminded Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I think the "banjo-pickin idiot" a/k/a either Mr. W don't know it's spelled "Myanmar". Yes, our friend lukin--who of course writes in a rambling, mindless, incoherent style--is beside himself with joy over this one error, and is posting his glee over the subject on multiple posts. On a totally related note, anyone who thinks waldo and wyly are the same poster has a serious lack in their understanding of the English language; unless their theory is that this poster is ingenious and disciplined enough to write with disparate vocabularies and wildly distinctive syntactical styles over a period of many, many months. lukin Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Wow bloodyminded, you sure seem to be unnerved, coming on here defending wyly/waldo. Are you their hired spokesperson? Are you getting paid? Here is the situation with the Mirimar thing. Wyly comes on here claiming to be some kind of a superior intellectual master, going as far as arrogantly calling many people uneducated or unsophisticated when he doesn't like something that is said. My point is that he shouldn't be labelling a group of people as banjo-pickin idiots if he doesn't know the difference between Mirimar and Myanmar. A truly educated person, like he claims to be, doesn't make that kind of mistake. I could care less about someone's grammar or spelling, but when you continue to be a pompous ass(wyly/waldo) while claiming to be superior to others, I can't help but point out his mistake, which was not a typo. Kaniduh is a big country. I know, it's spelled Canada. Quote

Well, sure; if someone is criticizing the great lukin (speaking of arrogance and pomposity), then clearly that person must be "unnerved."
