Can a Political Movement Go Bad

But that is the essence of the Tea Party movement...leaders are not the priority....protest against existing policies and direction is the priority, not unlike the original intent against the British. The Tea Party is just the initial populist backlash that rejects present circumstances. Just the mere mention of a "leader" is inconsistent with the fundamental approach.

Its partly that, but its also partly a political apparatus. Thats why nobody can agree what the movement is. Theres a whole of Fox News astroturfing, a whole lot of anger against democrats, some racists, some religious nutbars, and some people who as you say are genuinely protesting the way government does business. It seems to be a pretty random mix of all this stuff.

And comparing these people to the origional tea partiers is an insult. Those guys put their asses on the line and staged a real tax revolt.

All it takes for rot to set in is for one clever weasil to squeeze into the mix..I am sure that the idea of National Socialism might have been good originally - but like all movements they get high jacked - happened to a movement lead by Jesus Christ - and look how they perverted that great movement.

They get highjacked in the name of "security" as soon as people get scared. The government starts to take more and more control "we have to do it to keep you safe!!!", and the people tolerate it because theyre scared little bitches.

WELL SAID! All my life I was an empathetic frightened little bitch...finally - I understand and stand tall in fearlessness....I think back what a waste of life it was to live in fear..once you are fearless you can truely live!
