Mr Quick of Barrie On, tried to get disability from VA and he did get in.....after the 93 year old died. He been fighting for the money, went everyday to the mailbox to check for his cheque and probably the stress of that didn't help his health and he died. Pik, Liberal government, Conservative government, IMO when it comes to the bureaucracy it really makes no difference. Most bureaucrats that make decisions affecting citizens don't see the human being at the other end of their paperwork. It's all about rules and procedures as laid out in the "book". Oftentimes their defence or excuse is that's the way things have always been done in the past. The citizen that is affected by the decisions of bureaucrats is faceless to them, until a case like this one comes along and they get their knuckles rapped by their superiors. I've seen a lot of this in the past and things don't seem to have changed.
