Its report said the action by commandos, which left nine dead, was "disproportionate" and "betrayed an unacceptable level of brutality". It said there was clear evidence to support prosecutions against Israel for "wilful killing". In a 56-page report, the UN panel of three international lawyers said: "There is clear evidence to support prosecutions of the following crimes within the terms of article 147 of the Fourth Geneva Convention: wilful killing; torture or inhuman treatment; wilfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health". The Convention is an international treaty governing the protection of civilians in times of war. The UN fact-finding mission also said the Israeli blockade of the Palestinian territory was "unlawful" because of a humanitarian crisis there. Guess what would happen to a particular ship that tried to sell the South guns or export King Cotton? your superficial comparison between the civil war incident and the situation in gaza is an indication of how it's impossible to discuss reality with you. there are so many dissimilarities between the two that i don't even know where to begin. i will give you one of many differences between the two and then leave it at that. because i'm not going to have a stupid discussion with you. one obvious difference is that the flotilla ships were searched at the port in cyprus prior to leaving towards gaza and were given a complete check. even after the seizure of the ships, israel was not able to find anything illegal on the ships except for some butter knives. just so you know, i will not be responding to any more stupid comparisons like that.
