When I come upon a long topic, that is, a quick growing one which already extends to 14 pages or so, I like to start at the beginning and go through it. Now as I come across posts which I wish to reply to, I do so. The problem is this puts me on the last page of the topic. If I was on page 1 that's fine. I can click back there. but if I was on page 6 or 7 I have to click back 2 pages at a time. Ie, I have to click on page 12 then page 10, then page 8, then page 6, which is a pain in the ass, especially if you forget exactly where you were while writing your reply.

Is there a way to quickly return to that point in the topic from which you had been reading that I'm just not set up for?

Note to moderator: I'm replying to the first post for explanatory purposes.

To the left of your name in my post reply, you'll see a small swooping arrow. Click it, and it will return you to your original post that I replied to. Alternatively, you can press the small down arrow beside the page selection and type in a specific page number to go there.

Edit: silly me.....

Been here 6 years and didn't know either of those existed. Doh! Thanks.

Those are great tips smallc. Thanks for posting them. They should be stickied somewhere or included in the FAQ.

Does it work ?

I see no sweeping arrows. Where is it exactly ?

Ok - I DO see it now - but the arrow is to the LEFT of the name for me. Maybe because I'm a leftist ha ha.

How do i get the MultiQuote to work?.

click on "multi quote" in all the posts you want to include in your response (the buttons will turn green), then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "add reply" button, and all of the quotes from all the posts you clicked on will be included in the reply box.

I was wondering aboutthis myself. I was always pressing the reply button on the actual post, this wasn't working so I just did it the old fashioned way. Now I know how to do it. Thanks.
