Personally I think the PM will be occupied with more pressing matters and wont spend all his time at the special olympics. Is he abandoning Canada's athlete's? Is it just all a totalitarian Nazi Arynistic sense that the fully able athletes are worth supporting and encouraging, but Canada's special in another way athletes arn't? Much like the majority of Canadian Athletes who didn't profit from the BUY THE PODIUM scandal, and the very centralized BC winter games infrastructure. Hmm, what do you think he will do. I think he will abandon them and leave them on the side of the road. No TV coverage, no press coverage. Will CTV preempt all TV programming for the special olympics? Hmmm? Well it seems to be clear, the disabled are nobodies to the world media but our models of perfection without disabilities are worth putting all else aside for. Steven Harper is betraying the disabled of Canada, SHAME ON HIM!!! The opening ceremonies are on Fri Mar 12 and the closing Sun Mar 21 - if Harper is a real man, and a real supporter of sport he will be there for the events in Vancouver out of his own pocket and for his nation. I doubt the man will show any spirit for what these brave athletes are doing in Vancouver. He is nothing but a showboater, not sincere, but a fake fake man. Demonstarting poor health in leadership portrays Canada as a world leader in health and fitness. I eat wheat from alberta in little weetabix vote for meh, my family comes from a farm, I kept it with me in my bubbly belly. If you touch it and my blue vest I'll giggle if there is a camera around if not I'll sick my rcmp goons after you to rough you up and file frivilous assault charges, and win. SOME FACTS: 51% of Canadians are physically inactive. 23% of Canadians are obese (over 5 and a half million) over 50% are overweight. (over 8 million additional Canadians) 20% Canadians have a mental disability 15% of Canadians have a physical disability ---- These numbers will increase as the population ages. By these figures those Olympics athletes the couch potatoes were watching do not represent them.. they represent a minority of Canadians who have a healthy lifestyle. The gross majority are in fact totally negligent of their health and wellbeing, not much unlike the PM. Racking up health care costs and draining tax dollars as their drool forms waiting for their next meal. I'm not here to win support, I'm simply here to state a fact that the guy doesn't give a damn about the health of himself or others and he is show boating and is totally deprived of true caring or concern with anything other than himself, he is a total showman. Such a fake does not portray an image that is befitting of his post. The man should step down and try to recover his health, he is getting up in years, he ought to do himself a favour and dedicate his time to securing his future rather than the camera. He might be able too go too the Paralympics which start next week but that is a different thing. Please don't be ignorant about these things then accuse the PM of the samething. Quote
