Watching a bit of American media I am astounded by the commericals selling all sorts of things. From pills to eat the butt fat away to things that make foolish men with fading old wives achieve an errection. What caught my eye was the blatant selling of vacine. H1N1 shots are sold at Walgreen...and for only 18 dollars a pop..or prick shall I say. I guess the price rounds out to about 20 dollars American. Big pharma is now right up there with the same profit making power as the military industrial complex.

It is going to be almost impossible for them to achieve real health care when all you see are semi-poisionous products with disclaimers that waiver away a number of horrific side effects ranging form the classic four hour in need of emergency treatment errection to the heart attacks caused by a number of compounds that in the past would never be okayed by governmental quality control...so my premise is - If big pharma can now with the approval of government sell drugs that are dangerous then the situation presents itself in the fact that pharma has far to much power over government - this scenaro is to entrenched in the system to be over come.

AND by the way speaking of the Piggy Plaugue...where the hell is it manifesting at present?...still the commericals are running and sales through fear mongering are on the rise. Now to be funny for a moment. For all the failures at sex out their going into advanced middle age...I can see the state attempting to own your body..but what is worse is that private enterprise is attempting to take ownership of the aging male penis...it is really quite bizzare when you think of the fact they are training older men through propoganda that they can not mingle sexually with their own wives and mistresses unless they buy the appropraiate pill. In appearacane it seems that private enterprise now own your privates.

Who are you kidding....what else are you going to watch?

America is business.....wholesale and retail.

As for the H1N1 vaccine, most people are skipping this now that the hype is over. So they need to move a lot of doses that will go to waste.

You are cluttering up my cable buddy...I don't want to see one more commercial about some fat old dude has just screwed his miserable past her prime dried up wife - making the cab driver wait...and those disclaimers...may make your head fall off - may help depression but my cause suicidal ideation..great - I won't be depressed if I off myself? Boy BC - do you think you can get me a bootleg supply of piggy plauge vacine that I could move for 40 bucks a hit..ship it up - give you two bucks a doze..and we can send Rummy a few pennies.

No, but I am making some burger money on Canadian engine block heaters. Zerostart and OEM block heaters are readily available in Canada (I wonder why - ). Just re-sell them on ebay.

Who said America is not full of glee and jumping joy? Glad you're in a good mood..would not want the elephant in our Canadian bed roll over while having dreams of past glory disrupt your sleep. So your whole economy is based finally on the old barter system...so how much do you get for a scrap rad at the junk yard?

Not much for one...you need a lot of radiators to take advantage of the rising metal prices. No wonder Canadian firma are hot to mine copper around the world! Clean copper prices are way up....people are stealing copper and aluminum from vacant homes and city infrastructure for salvage value.

When I was a hick - my brothers and eye would take the old pick up truck out for the day a travel the back roads for a hundred miles mining copper...we were copper varmits..It used to be 90 a lb for number one...I understand that it's way up now...aluminum...we could strip your house in twenty minutes - what was the best were those abandoned farms with the half mile long driveway..they would have a line of poles put up in the 40s that had pure high grade copper lines...we would go out in a blizzare to mine that gold...it was a lot of fun and quick good cash...One place was abandoned and the owner tagged me - I promised him that I would board the place up and secure it for him if he in exchanged did not call the cops and let me have the semi-precious metals on the property...I kept my word and returne the next day and even put up a no trespass sign for him.. BUT those days are long gone when you could mine for copper in rural Ontario - others got the hint and stipped mined it to death..lol.

There was this old brick building that was partly fallen down - it had to be 150 years old - it had TWO sets of lines coming in...I climbed up a rotten old pole..cut the line and a hail of sparks shot all over the place when it hit the ground - worst than that....the pole that was rotted at the base came falling down with desperate me hangin on for dear life - I was young and strong - so I made the leap to a spruce tree and got down safely...Then down the driveway came the cops...so I had to abandon the vehicle and scadadle..Thinking of a good story to tell as I lounged in the tall grass by the creek. It all worked out..as you can see I did anything I could to avoid getting a real job. Even if something is tossed away and the owner of the land does not know of it's existance - It is still his property...Still it was better that I scavenged and put food on the table then have the developers plow good money under.

True....an abandoned or condemned house is both the end of a dream and the beginning of opportunity.

True....an abandoned or condemned house is both the end of a dream and the beginning of opportunity.

During that period I saw the lives of those that came before. Buckets of bent and rusting nails saved for years by frugal famers for later use. Hollow walls in near collapsed carrage houses packed with artifacts..some dating back to the 1840s...In fact I found a well perserved Almanac from the mid 18oos..it was in printed in German...later I gave it two a couple of exchange students staying with my brother...It made it's way back to it's place of origin...I collected antiques long forgotten...sold them and fed the family. I was a time traveler..some days early in the morning I would say to myself as I hoped into the old Buick..."Lets go time traveling". And off I would go - At one time a stern and cold daughter who evidently was an only child...took her families heritage and dumped the stuff into a revine.

I went through these heaps of garbage bags and found a collection of photos that spread from Kansas to Toronto..a beautiful and extensive family history spaning well over a hundred years...I went through the heap to find gold chains - wedding bands in coffee grounds...I literally made a few thousand dollars for the refuse of a person with no passion for the past or sense of history. The best place we located was a driveway that had grown over..an old farm house entangled in trees...the place had been sealed up for at least 60 years..When with daring we entered this tomb it was like a museum..an inch of dust covered everything..yes we plundered..and yes my family ate and gas and and food were purchased with that plunder.

In a way I felt like a hunter gatherer, a primative living off the land and sucking on the tit of long forgotten wealth. All in all it was a wonderful experence...walking though the grass and finding gold. I will not get into the time that a small plane crashed in our lake...nor will I mention how I took my goggles and flippers and dove down to salvage the contents ..it was the only time my mother struck me to appease the pilot who came to reclaim his compass and seats that I had as a boy set up in my room..I had my own pretend plane by my bed. Have I always been a person that lived outside the mainstream within an adventure I created? Yes...I was an eccentric and mischievious child..but I did no one thing..what was of value and what as not. As an older adult I sometimes have problems sorting out the garbage from the gold. Perhaps some of that childhood wisdom will return.

We get some of those commercials in Canada too. They want you to ask your doctor about it! If your doc prescribes a drug, whether you, private insurance companies, or gov't drug plans pay for it they don't care. it's money in their pocket.
