Topaz Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Last night on the news , I saw were the US military is preparing to send all the military equipment over to Afghanistan from Iraq, they are starting to pull out. I guess there is a lot of money involved - The Afghanis will not see the benefit - nor will Canada - A few Americans will continue to be fabulously rich...so - are we going to assist that status quo when we don't get a cut of the action? bush_cheney2004 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 ..but you have to get over this "neccesary evil" approach..it's really tiresome and really does not work well - let the good prevail for a while...If you keep this up I will have to talk to the cosmos and insist that you be fired....with no compensational package.... If "good" worked all the time....we would be doing that instead. Hell, even some Canadians think their foreign policies and business practices are "good"....but we know better. That's why I abandoned the whole moral angle years ago....it is only another cover story. You don't get to be a "super power" by kissing everyone's ass....and this goes back to 1776. Looks like Iran has learned from the super power America - so has North Korea and probably the Taliban - no one wants to kiss ass anymore - especially yours - so looks like there is a bit of a problem with you theory on good evil. Once you have screwed everyone and you have fully abandoned the whole moral angle..there is a price to be paid..You have to spend billions on protecting yourself and looking over your sholder. You can't even afford to take care of your vets - you can't afford to take care of the sick and elderly poor, Unless those old folks were like you and invested in arms and oil years and years ago. BC my good friend - I would rather be poor and not have to suffer eternal hyper vigilance..but on the contray - they hunt the poor also - there is good in that poorness.. OKAY so how does it feel to eventually live up the the name of "Great Satan?" - As in paradise lost you will achieve ultimate success and domain - you will stand on to of the world and scream you are gods - but..that world will be a garbage dump - Lord of the flys awaits you in the end - and that's the conundrum..that there is the big blow back to deal with..and it's going to get worse - so when did you sellout and was it worth it? Oleg Bach Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 It has always been thus....investing in all sorts of things....including Canada. Of course it was worth it....reprise: "Tis better to have been a super-power and lost than never to have been one at all. Canada was part of a lost British empire....living there is not too bad....right? So what's the downside Brutha? We have the finest slave quarters and public jailing system on the planet..Once you are aware - you do notice that you are a prisoner - I look at my gentrified mean street as a long corridor - a common area - and when I step out of my home (cell) I know that I am a prisoner..it's just a real big fancey jail..that's the downside I suppose. Can I get up and leave to live out in the country where I belong? NO! I feel like an unpaid frinking social worker...if you know what I mean..some of us here are like a volunteer army..that does not get paid other than a bunk and a burger. This situation is getting worse - I was refered to by the bankster buddy as "The canary in the gold mine" - If I can take the abuse - I guess they use me as a benchmark on how much you can milk the cows without killing them.. Oleg Bach Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Regime change in Iraq was a matter of US Public Law as of November 1998. H.R.4655 Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Enrolled Bill (Sent to President)) One Hundred Fifth Congress of the United States of America Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 - Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government. http://www.iraqwatch.org/government/US/Legislation/ILA.htm How come all the democratic governments are controlled by guys you can't get rid of?
