Clearly I prepared for the wrong quiz.

You don't know what you're talking about Dancer, the womens team are top-notch athletes and excellent players. The difference being that they play a more clean technical game, which is a thrill to watch. The mens league is more about "rock-em sock-em" style as promoted by Don Cherry et al, a bit more brutal no doubt why you like it. As a player all my life, Don Cherry style is not what hockeys about.

The difference is, one is The Game, the other is what the girls play.

Now I'm not saying girls hockey can't be enjoyable any more that I would say that watching High School hockey can't be enjoyable.

I'm just not going to pretend that it is hockey on a profesional level for the sake of gender equality.
