The woman, Lubna Hussein, an outspoken journalist who recently worked for the United Nations, was facing 40 lashes in a case that generated widespread interest inside and outside Sudan. This is the type of interference that the west should be practicing in other countries where women's rights still don't exist. This would certainly be better than arming or aiding their governments.
