Well because it was Library book I can grab it and cite quotes. I would love too because unlink you I like to back my claims ("the NDP hate police solving crimes") but I can not with the book itself.

That was not my quote if you go back and look at it.

I said the NDP believe the police should not interrogate.

If you can't reply without lying, why bother?

However in the end that is the jist of it. He believes in order to fight "the greater evils" we need to use "the lesser evils". Ignoring the fact this very approach in the cold war created Osama, and Sadam. The two men Iggy is ready to lose his morals for to fight. Irony is fun.

That is not what he said.

Bottom line: it is Ignatieff who makes the claim that he will be a good PM.

And he will. And after the next election, Layton will step down.

In the end we can assume becuase Iggy did not correct the Princeton press they got what he meant right.

Whatever happened to put up or shut up?

Put up the quotes or stop making excuses.

If a believer demands that I, as a non-believer, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy. Flemming Rose (Dutch journalist)

And where did that come from again?

That is not what he said.

Then why didn't he correct the Princeton University Press? You know company that published the book? You are right you got the jist of the book better then the publisher of the book Dobbin.

I quoted both an article written by Iggy, and what Iggy's publisher said about the book. Dobbin has not cited one thing on his claims of the NDP the Liberals here are getting crazy about this Iggy guy.

I am sorry I can not go page by page to quote Iggy's justification of all sorts of evil. I suggest you read the book yourself to understand what I am saying.

Gimme a break. Did Layton correct every reviewer about what he said in his book?

Put up.

By the way, the rules on this forum are to use a leader's actual name. Try to abide by them.

It was his publisher not a reviewer. I assume if Layton editor and publisher said the opposite of what the book said like "in this book Jack says Social housing is bad" he would have corrected them.

I showed you the article and the link is in this forum already. Did you not read it?

Ignatieff is writing and after making excuses about what he wrote.

And you are making excuses for not showing a quote that says what you think he said.

Do you need also a quote about Ignatieff presenting human rights as idolatry!?

Do you need a quote that he says that is unacceptable to abuse?

I put up with a quote by his publisher what do you got?

By the way, the rules on this forum are to use a leader's actual name. Try to abide by them.

Just going by how he refers to himself on his facebook page.

I know he said it I read the book he says it on every other page. His publisher and editor also know it because as I cited they said as much.

It is a summary review and not a quote of what he said.

OK from the book

"A lesser evil position holds that in a terrorist emergency, neither

rights nor necessity should trump. A democracy is committed

to both the security of the majority and the rights of the individual.

Neither a morality of consequences nor a morality of

dignity can be allowed exclusive domain in public policy decisions."

Page 8 now we see one of us can put up our claims the other hasn't even read the book and still has not show where the NDp are against police interrogation put up Dobbin.

You made the claim. Show me an actual quote from Ignatieff.

Just going by how he refers to himself on his facebook page.

Which is still against the rules of this forum. The moderators have specifically referred to the term you use.

Some more on Iggy believing as long as it is the Lessor Evil to is Aok with him. Morals be damned.

"What works is not always right. What is right doesn’t

always work. Rights may have to bow to security in some instances,

but there had better be good reasons"

I have shown you the quote already on the NDP and police. It in this forum. Look for it.

As for your quote, show me in that passage where Ignatieff is saying torture is acceptable.
