It is a thread on Ignatieff.

It is a thread on whatever we want to talk about. Is this not a democracy? Why are you oppressing me?

Not going to happen - Harper and Ignatieff - will bond and you will see a one party system - they have no choice. Layton will be the only opposing party - and it should work out just fine - seeing that there really are no consevatives or real liberals left - a centralist moderate party is forming - and moderation is the key to good management.

But politics is more about emancipation than about management.

No it's not. It's mostly about management...of a lot of things.

It's more about impression management...who you appear to be rather than who you are or who you were.

(Impression) management is obviously a defense mechanism against a possible explosive emancipation.

What does that even mean? Politics is definetly about impression management first and then managament later.

Politics existed in the time of Ancient Egypt. It has always existed, and more often than not had NOTHING to do with freedom.

Just recall the French "no vote" at the referendum on the European Union Constitution. The expert bureaucrats were so fearful of this people's decision that they entrenched themselves still more inside a management-view of the World. Something must give!

Politics in this nation is merely the manipulation of public opinion and public perception. It is a game of emotional and intellectual optics.

It is truer for Venezuela because this country has more oil revenues than Canada.
