bush_cheney2004 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 They'd be better of without 75% of their presidents being Republicans. They'd have more freedom with 8-10 parties and proportional representation. A 2-party state leading to 1-party domination is perilous to freedom and liberty. Perilous to commies too.....nearly an extinct species. Are you in a museum somewhere? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

A 2-party state leading to 1-party domination is perilous to freedom and liberty. And yet you fail to understand how the american government works withs its checks and balances, How many super majorities have the republicans held? Just becuase the president is of a party doesn't mean they have total control over the government. What is scarier is a one party domination in a parlimentary system, fewer checks and balances on the government. Quote "What about the legitimacy of the democratic process, yeah, what about it?" KingIggy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 Actually, thousands of Americans (and Canadians) died rescuing Europe from fascism. Then we financed their recovery (Marshall Plan). Is that the ultimate argument for Bush ? "A LOOOOOoooooooong time ago, we stopped Hitler's nationalism, corporatism, pre-emptive war machine, persecution, police state, - but later, we didn't stop Bush's". LOL !!!! Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 But aren't the Repubs supposed to be xenophobically against poor Hispanics flooding in for extra cash / cheap labor ? Mebbe you are schizo-xeno... Nope...they hire most of 'em. It's the commie unions that raise a big stink. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

KingIggy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 Perilous to commies too.....nearly an extinct species. Are you in a museum somewhere? Again, you label all those to the political left of the Republicans, "Commies". Typical ultra-rightwing maniac... BLIND to reality. Question : What percentage of the world's population support Bush-Cheney policies ? Quote
KingIggy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 No, it's the ultimate argument against kissing Europe's ass. Learning from the effects of Bush era policies isn't kissing Europe's ass, it's being in tune with REALITY. Quote

Considering what we have for recorded history 70 years isn't all that long. Hitler didn't subscribe to corporatism, his was a planned economy. The USA has 10-15% unionization rates, and the worst child poverty rate in western industrialized first world. Denmark is the reverse. But you just love seeing the working poor unable to afford health care / education, while the CEO writes himself a 30 million dollar bonus cheque every 3 months... Quote

KingIggy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 Ok...REALLY kissing Europe's ass. Better? See, you refuse to learn from your mistaken Neo-Con policies/effects. KingIggy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) Considering what we have for recorded history 70 years isn't all that long. Hitler didn't subscribe to corporatism, his was a planned economy. Nor did he have a pre-emptive war machine, it was an imperialistic war machine. Bush did not persecute a people/ Nor was their a police state created. What Bush and Hitler have in common is a rabid nationalism, demonizing the common foreign threat in order to rampage ahead with unbridled militarism, corporatism and government control over people's lives. The preemptive war machine, secretive CIA prisons, acceptance of torture, denial of fair trial, violation of civil liberties are all giveaways (for those not blinded by rightwing dogma). Rightwingers repress all evidence of their policy impact. Edited June 1, 2009 by KingIggy Quote

There is a relationship between low unionization rates and high child poverty rates. You embrace them both. The USA has a much higher CEO:Worker pay ratio. But for rightwingers, 2$ an hour is fine for workers, and 3 trillion/yr/ is fine for CEO's. Quote
