jalba
It’s all about Manas Manas airport has a really sad reputation. First it was used as American military base for US operations in Afghanistan. Then it magically turned into a "peaceful" cargo transit center. But it wasn’t Manas’ final transformation. Now it like a magnet attracts attention of various undesirable individuals like the most irreconcilable Uzbek Islamist leaders. At different times they were arrested at Manas airport during their attempts to contact Americans. I don’t believe that it was a simple fortuity and it seems that they are still set to prepare another operation to establish Uzbek control over Kyrgyzstan’s southern territories, especially after their last failure. Of course they are seeking for help and surely they will continue their work to destabilize Kyrgyzstan and Manas will be attracting them until Americans will be there. Anyway Kyrgyzstan will be the only losing side in that game. Americans use our Manas and Uzbek Islamists are eager to establish contacts with them. It’s a known fact that Americans take care only of Americans, so in time of a need we can hope only for ourselves. Maybe it’s time to stop tearing Kyrgyzstan?
