Smallc Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I now it's a lot of money that's why it's so serious an issue and why the Liberals cannot be trusted again. I hope you understand the severity of this smallc. I've never heard the figure before. Quote
Shakeyhands Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Money flowed from the government which was the Liberals and Mr. Chretien. The $1.5 billion didn't flow all by itself a Liberal had to sign the papers. IF not than me or you could get billions too. ADScam was a the biggest theft in Canadian history. Mr.CHretien and the Liberals stole $1.5 billion from us, the Canadian taxpayer. You have to have a job to pay taxes so maybe that's why many on the left think it's ok to do this. Mr Chretien "and the Liberals" did no such thing, in fact this whole thing was perpetrated by a couple of members of the Quebec wing, again, perhaps you should read Justice Gomery's findings. Mr.Canada Posted November 24, 2008 Author Report Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) The sponsorship scandal, "AdScam", "Sponsorship"or Sponsorgate, is a scandal that came as a result of a Canadian federal government "sponsorship program"...which was in power from 1993 to 2006 Source I think that this clearly illustrates the facts. If not you may go to the link and see who was involved from Jean Chretien and Paul Martin on down. Hundreds of millions of dollars funneled down to their Quebec friends. And they are both from and live in Quebec...what a shock. Then you have Layton saying the Liberals are corrupt then working with Martin and propping him up...lol. Left wing hypocrisy at its best. Nothing to argue craiger, this is old news I didn't realize you weren't up on it. The Liberals are no longer in power ad are getting weaker everyday just fyi craiger in case you didn't know. So stealing hundreds of billions of dollars is something you support and said it sounds better than a billion. I no longer question the type of person who would vote Liberal after they stole hundreds of millions of our dollars. Again, one must have a job in order to care about the theft I guess. ADSCAM- $500 MILLION Gun registry boondoogle - $2 BILLION Green Shift - $40 BILLION The Liberals have zero respect for taxpayers money. I voted for Harper but would disagree now I actually been paying much attention and Layton holds much moral ethical values for the working man. Plane as day what we need is protection for the working man and jobs Harper has failed misserbly in this area he's to much interest in his free trade and sending our money over seas Edited November 24, 2008 by craiger Quote

I'm not sure what you do, but I doubt that Harper is directly to blame for your job. If you are in the auto sector, then you need to take a long hard look at the last 40 years of the results of an overly powerful union and its share in the downfall of the North American vehicle. Pipefitter welder and what gets me us locals get laid off and the temporary foreign workers gets to stay because of the work visa. As for Layton he never said tax hikes for corperations what he said is no more handouts, not the same thing. Quote

Layton did say corperate tax hikes. I can sympathize with you about the pipefiiter and welder as their are going to be huge layoffs in those areas here as well, but it has more to do with Stelmach and his change to the royalties and the end of another oil bubble here. We would bne going through this anyway though because of the stock market correction. I have no idea were you are from though and what the problems are to the local economy. I do have a company but they Ain't going to hire me when the polish welder comes in and works for $8/hour and I charge $85/hour or like Exon since they bought out Syncrude they laid off us steadys who built those plants to bring in south Americans and Chinese who work for ALLOT less. It is easy for them they don't own homes in Alberta or pay healthcare etc like we do they live in camp for a few years and take the money back home where it is actually worth something only solution for us is to buy homes in the dominican republic or something and come here to work a few months a year and go live like a king the other rest of the year.
