Shady
Now, his reported selections... suggest that Mr. Obama is planning to govern from the center-right of his party"Obama intends to lead from Right Center - MSNBC.com Ah, I found that catch. He's going to govern from the center-right of his party, not the cener-right. Two very different things. And frankly, I don't believe the first premise anyways. Only time will tell. Sir Bandelot
Only time will tell. Whether he's a left winger governing from the center-right, or a right winger governing from the center- left...
Shady
Whether he's a left winger governing from the center-right No, that's not what you posted. He's not going to govern from the center-right, he's going to govern from "the center-right OF HIS PARTY." Nice try though.

Nice try though.Shady, Obama appears to be pragmatic if not wise.Obama will likely do as Wifrid Laurier. In 1896, Laurier was the single French Catholic around his cabinet table. Laurier said that he was enough. Given Sifton, Laurier was arguably the worst PM in post-Confederation history. ---- IMV, Obama knows that he could be further to the left/right, more radical, than Josef Stalin/Genghis Khan and yet Obama would still have the support of his base. Obama can move to the mediocre centre, and still keep the radical fringe, or 20% of the elecorate. He's Obama. He gets a free pass.
