When I mentioned that "connecting the dots" of his "facts" was a fallacy he cried about being off topic. When I debunked his "facts" he ignored them. That's all. In Alberta the core courses for grade 10 all have a "10 in them, grade 11 have "20" and grade 12 have "30." Topic A in Social Studies 30 (grade 12) is called Political and Economic systems. Yeah I should fix number 2 as we are starting to learn more about Hussien Obamas past aren't we but he refuses to answer questions about t doesn't he? One of his biggest supporters William Ayers who was on trial in Chigago at the time of the primaries. He is now a convicted felon. This is a man that Hussien Obama traded political favours for money for. To this day he refuses to come clean about this convicted felons relationship with the soon to be president. William Ayers was part of the Weather Underground in the 1970's which bombed the pentagon, the capitol building among others. Never apologized and wished they had bombed more. It must have been effective too, judging by the way he has avoided it.Edit: While I am able to hit from both sides of the plate, I am in fact not a lefty. One out of left field I guess. I hadn't heard that either and it isn't really ralevant anyway unless you are referring to alternative lifestyles. Are you really playing in right field? Nothing to figure here, socialism is the tool for the achievement of total monopoly, oppressing all competition in the name of egalitarianism or "social justice" i.e., "fairness" on the road to totalitarianism. Philanthropy becomes the engineer of society. Rockefeller said that competition was the greatest sin and what better way to eliminate all his competition than through his financial empire and philanthropic advices to government. It may seem odd that Barbra Streisand and Jane Fonda are such socialists since they gain their wealth in a capitalist system and won't relinquish it yet fight for egalitarianism by the use of other people's money. I can't say they are entirely devoid of aiding what special interests they seem to find deserving of their attention but they work as hard as anyone to retain their wealth and status. I suppose they feel saddened by the fact others are not so talented and can't sing or act. I haven't read all of the thread since page 6, so have we found out how far left Obama is yet? Mr.Canada Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Well since starting this topic I have done some more reading and watching and I no longer think that Mr. Obama is a Marxist per say. Is is definitely more to the left than previous Presidential candidates but maybe that is what the US needs at this point. Rev. Jeremiah Wright does harbour some strange ideals and beliefs but Mr. Obama has distanced himself from those comments as not reflecting his own views. I had not seen this footage previous to last nights airing of Obama/McCain 2008 on CBC NW. Hey, nobodies perfect not even me. We learn new things everyday myself included.
