Oleg Bach Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Except of course when Harper was in opposition. Then whistle blowing by a government employee was honourable and noble. Forget about picking on Harper for this one - the very concept of wrapping meat in plastic and have it forment is just a horrible way of packaging - a friend of mine who worked in a supermarket told me that they unrap the unsold meat and rinse off the slime and repack it and sell the old garbage - IT'S THE SLIME _ THINK ABOUT IT- BEFORE THIS STYLE OF PACKING MEAT THERE WAS NO SLIME! Oleg Bach Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 I think it's safe to assume that Harper is not responsible for THIS slime. Correct - this form of packing cold cuts etc. is new and it in itself is unsanitary...find the inventor of the method and go after him - or maybe that great corrupt entity called the Packaging Association Of Canada - that is responsible for enforced landfill over load - It use to be that your meat was airated and preserved with spice - now because of greed - they don't want any loss of sales due to spoilage so they started bagging the crap to make it look more appealing and clean - when in realtiy the plan back fired - they should go back to the old days - and if meat was not sold in a few days it should be tossed out - not sit in a bag of slime that looks good but is poison - live and learn guys...now for a nice slice of Mennonite sausage - that is not slimy. jdobbin Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 The problem is still with justice then. Unethical behavior means that someone feels unjustly treated and the law fails in it's intent to the point of abusively providing protection for unethical behavior. Unethical behaviour is not always a legal problem. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Unethical behaviour is not always a legal problem. You know what is unehtical? It's the feeding of possibly tainted meat to the elderly in retirement institutions- I heard a report that the so-called care givers - what ever the hell that term means - fed the old people meat that they knew would kill them - talk about belated abortioning old people..makes you realize that the taking care of the old is not an act of love. eyeball Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 This is just about enough to make me seriously think about giving up meat all together. Apparently most of the trimmings from the kill zone or whatever the hell its called...Hell maybe...is often sent somewhere else to be turned into hamburger. Through DNA analysis Colorado State University apparently found the average hamburger sold in the US contains the remains of 55 cattle and in some cases up to 1000. That's what I call Soylent Moo. This board needs a vomit smiley. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

It will make us a little light head and easier to control - those damn meat eaters are to blame for all war...and they drive real fast in expensive cars if they can get them - AND they like their cars to be vegans so they feed the machines ethanol...corn fed cars - they are the best...wonder if I could eat a Porshe tire medium rare - mmmmmm...rubber meat..gimme some! GostHacked Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 It is a Federal stamp. Not one by the maker/producer. The lot #'s etc are for the producer Everything is traceable. If it is on record and true, then you will be able to find it. If people are fudging it, then you will loose product. The reason everything is tagged and trace is to make sure there is no loss of product, and no loss of money. No matter what your business, you have all the information on suppliers/carriers. Everything has a bar code to be electronicaly traced. Maple Leaf Foods have existed for over 100 years. If this is their first major screw up, I think I can let that slide. Oleg Bach when in realtiy the plan back fired - they should go back to the old days - and if meat was not sold in a few days it should be tossed out - not sit in a bag of slime that looks good but is poison - live and learn guys...now for a nice slice of Mennonite sausage - that is not slimy. My projection is that people will be going back to a real butcher to get their meat. Days of the large everything in one box store are numbered. But you can even have problems with a butcher. Quote
Pliny Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Unethical behaviour is not always a legal problem. No, not always. Laws are sometimes inadequate. Seems we need a law for everything these days to tell us what is right and wrong. Unethical behavior doesn't get dealt with by law or justice if there is no law. The probelm is that laws today are often unethical and unjust themselves. They give someone favour or privilege over someone else - unethical in my estimation. guyser Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 The bottom line, is just like the Harris government, Harper's government decisions to save money can/will KILL Canadians Only if you can find that Maple Leaf knew the product was bad, and still sold it. ....highly unlikely. Only if you can find the culprits and see if they were drunks who fudged the results.....highly unlikely. But then again, Walkerton is always a wonderful crutch for those that ignore the true happenings. Quote
