What constitutes being a "Canadian traitor." Are you saying that a good Canadian is required hate Americans?

No, of course I don't advocate hating. That's their game. I just expect that Canadians not be taken in by the US lies as quite of few on this forum seem to have been. Most Canadians aren't taken in by the lies on the Iraq war but about half are taken in by the pathetic lies on the Afghanistan war and really believe that Canada is there to do good. We're not there to do good and we are there to appease the US because we won't go to Iraq. In fact, if Karzai had his wish he would begin to fold the Taliban in with his government. Did you know it was publicly contemplated by him and he was dissuaded by the US? That would really blow the lid off of all the US lies wouldn't it!

When the US stops killing them over there they will stop killing Americans over here.

Did I say Vancouver? Stop being so dissmart...

Toronto gets its water from lake ontario...we also empty our drains into lake ontario..Vancouver gets it's water from the watersheds like Coquitlamand Capilano. Vancouver also empties its drains into Coquitlam so in effect Vancouver also drinks recycled water.

Nope.

Vancouver empties it's drains through five treatment plants on the Fraser River and Strait of Georgia. All of which are subject to tidal action to some degree. The water supply comes from damed lakes in the Capilano, Seymour and Coquitlam watersheds in the mountains north of the city and are not subject to contamination by the city's drains.

All they're trying to do is show that Canada has contaminated drinking water because it's recycled sewer water as it is in the US in places which have a shortage of water. It's silly and it's nothing other than being a US apologist in the case of the bozo from New Brunswick. This thread is a complete waste of cyberspace.

Many countries and cities recycle their water and the US is not the only country that has speculated on the effects due to pharmaceuticals going into the sewer system. The UK is another. Your complete obsession with the US makes 99% of your posts a waste of cyberspace.

In the entire four pages we seem to be discussing North America -- although Mexican water issues have yet to come up ;)

When the big guy farts.... or shits in his water it affects us. Whether or not they shit in the water in the UK has no bearing as we will never be forced to drink it unless they start shipping it across the Atlantic.

300 million shits 10x more than 30 million.

Well because the article was regarding the water in the US, then we talked about Canada, and you even mention Mexico, so it makes sense we are talking about North America. Also, just to point this out, North America is where most of the posters on this forum live. So wow, no kidding we are talking about North America. We can talk about what city gets water from where till all of you are blue in the face, but the point is that it is happening out there and most of you seem to think it is not a bg deal.

I must say that forums are what you make of it. And it seems like many here are very insincere when it comes to discussing anything on this forum. So I ask, wtf is wrong with staying on topic, leaving the insults at the door?

Half this thread can be deleted of the fluff content, and many any of you have proven why we cannot have nice things.

So how about we discuss the water situation in Mexico. The thing is, in North America, well really the US and Canada, we have higher governmental guidelines for supplying clean drinking water to a major city. Mexico does not seem to hold the same standards. And that is a problem for them that is pretty overt. You are warned about drinking the water when in Mexico. So that tells me right there, they have a bigger water polution problem than the US or Canada.

The more junk we throw into our water the more we put another nail in our collective human race coffin. Even if the junk flows through our body before it hits the treatment facility.

Wilber, you bring up a good point. The UK and the rest of Europe could be in the same situation. This cannot be just a local issue to North America, I bet this problem is rampant worldwide. It just seems now people are paying more attention to it.

So along with medication, we have all sorts of other chemicals (household cleaners) and chemical sprays that are used on crops seep into the water supply. There seems to be much out there to be aware of when it comes to water contamination.

The intent of this thread before it was derailed was to show that recycled water contained a lot of contaminants. That is more an American issue because recycling water is practicaly non-existent in Canada because we have lots of water. Why would we bother. This was about Americans having to drink their own recycled sewers which is becoming the practice now because it is a solution to a water shortage and certainly a better idea than going to war with another country to steal their water. Canada?

When the US stops killing them over there they will stop killing Americans over here.

True in one sense but not true as to the intent of this thread. When water is recycled through the clouds from the ocean the impurities don't remain unless it is through air pollution. We were talking about Americans needing to drink recycled sewers as opposed to Canadians getting their water from pure sources. It's quite obvious isn't it, when you don't have enough water you need to recycle what you flush down the toilet. Apparently it becomes not bad water but I wouldn't want to drink it myself just because I would be reminded of the toilet.

Haha, good one! It's a great country all right but the way they need to preserve that greatness is what's worrying the rest of the world. Off of the lives of their victims specifically.

I was just over at DU (democratic underground) and there is a thread... One in Five Americans Believe the Sun Revolves Around The Earth.

They KNOW that their country is in the shitter and are trying to figure out how to fix it -- I would not want to be them I tell yah!

Good opener for a discussion on the religion section! It reallly is that bad isn't it. Maybe that's why they are all upset about us talking about their drinking (sewers) water.
