M.Dancer Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 http://www.theglobeandmail.com/v5/content/...meberanceday07/ I got 21 our of 21 so I deserve the Order of Canada..... The bad news is........ "Even for a jaded pollster like me these are jaw-dropping statistics," the Dominion Institute's Rudyard Griffiths writes today in his column Let's not be a rootless nation of amnesiacs "Only one in four Canadians 18 to 24 -- the graduates of some of the world's best-funded school systems -- can give the date of Confederation. "Less than half can name Sir John A. Macdonald as our first prime minister. If there is any solace for the Old Chieftain in these dismal findings, it is that barely one in four young adults are familiar with his arch-nemesis, Louis Riel. "These results, compared with an identical survey we conducted a decade ago, indicate that young people's knowledge of Macdonald, Confederation and Riel is declining, on average, a percentage point a year. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...ialComment/home Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

Don't think for one second I am not aware of history. I actually have one myself unlike like some children playing on the Internet. Thanks for all responding with your fine salute every time I burp though , very commendable and I must say my history has helped as it normally takes more time before I am a bonafide favorite. Now for my next trick I will explain the mistakes Harper made by not thinking schreiber wouldn't find some reporter to spew his history to avert his extradition as all of any importance will be long dead before mulroney spends the whole 2 million defending himself and golfing with harper and schreiber all the while,,,there's a history you guys seem to like. A missed opportunity ? How? You keeping score for me? hmmm You need to understand that as I know how those who post their scores from these types of things are really quite insecure deep down and are just like little insecure children needing and craving something that in all reality I know is not nor never quenched by these attempts results. To me some one posting how smart they may be ,,well it is a sure sign to me that something is definitely missing. mdancer I understand as I know his birthday curse.(justice?) Some call me a genius , some an ass. None of any other's persons comparisons of me matters to me obviously and I wouldn't even know about their thoughts if not for my wife. I have spent time in places like palliative care rooms , hospitals and even jails , that would show you and teach you that all the smarts in the world pale in comparison to some one with a great big heart! Those are the ones worth knowing and remembering. I would be to embarrassed to tell all of you my actual IQ results (from jobs I have had) Because to me its really all irrelevant if one can not even be emotionally smart because of it or say to me because of it (you so called good memory types) that you remembered to call your folks , give to the food bank this week or visited some lonely dying old lady wandering the hospital wing looking for her visiting children that never come and may already be dead themselves. Smart to me is putting people above ones ego. Stories of soothing peoples pains that way , well I would love to read all about here but only because of your anonymity(do good silently as to voice it is payment) I guess I shouldn't have said anything here ,, about how smart or not smart I am as to those that need that measure ,I am quite sure it will be shown over time. As far as my memory ,hmm I would say I am in fact cursed with almost a photographic memory on some things sadly and that if one of you knows what I mean by that statement , well yes it really can almost be a curse. Ignorance is bliss isn't it? Quote
