Doesn't Bible Say: You Reap What You Sow"?
Redneck Yokel replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I don't think this should be placed solely on his shoulders. Though we must accept the consequences of our actions, this does not seem to be a direct consequence of his actions. Can we blame the attacks of 9-11 on the american populace because they lived a lifestyle which others despised? -
Jesus would support gay marriage bill: Senator
Redneck Yokel replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Ooops sorry. I wasn't aware that was a rule, given that this forum has been full of people that not only want to state their personal religious beliefs, but want the rest of the nation to adhere to them as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fact that people wish to do it does not mean that it should be done. -

This isn't a place for stating personal religious beliefs. -
FINALLY! It's good to see someone else agrees.

If the Liberals win the next Election...
Redneck Yokel replied to Dan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think liberals bitch more about conservatives bitching... than conservatives actually do bitch. -
The conservatives are doing work... they are working to get rid of the corrupt government which is currently running our country. Try to explain the difference between sitting on your ass in a room full of a bunch of other MPs attemting to bring a corrupt government down... and working outside that room attempting to bring a corrupt government down.

Honesty & Integrity CON servative Style?
Redneck Yokel replied to CAGERATTLER's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You already made this point in a previous thread. http://www.mapleleafweb.com/community/foru...t=ST&f=3&t=3065 You're cluttering up the boards for no reason. -
Conseravtives Shocked and Awed?
Redneck Yokel replied to CAGERATTLER's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Stop with the "CON servative" thing. It's immature and it's getting pretty damn annoying. I bet if you and the kindergarten children around your neighbourhood tried real hard you might be able to come up with something even wittier. __ That aside... You are absolutely right. So long as the U.S. is doing it, it's all good. Great argument. -
How about... it does not matter because only the leader of any of those parties could speak for the rest of the party.

This is a Canadian political forums. Could you perhaps provide a reason why this is pertinent to this place? -

CON servatives Paid 105,000 For One E-MAIL
Redneck Yokel replied to CAGERATTLER's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It does not have to take money away from the public system. The whole theory of a 'private' system is that it will generate its own money though greater efficiency (as is part of capitalism or 'private' economy). More patients served under private system = less patients filling up waiting lists and emergency rooms. There's no proposal to dismantle part of the current system in order to build the new one. The proposal is to have an alternative for those who can afford such things so that those who cannot afford them will be able to move more quickly through the public system. Private system = support for public system... -

Mike Harris Why Did He Get Voted Out
Redneck Yokel replied to CAGERATTLER's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's the thing! It's not about being a "Canadian" and NOT an "American". It's just about being a citizen of Canada, plain and simple. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of one's country, except when it is taken to such a point as to actually detriment the country itself. No one gains in those situations. Btw, thank you Cameron. -
Mulroney Speech About Crown Corps.

Trudeau was the worst. Mulroney saved Canada. -
Mike Harris Why Did He Get Voted Out
Redneck Yokel replied to CAGERATTLER's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yeah well I kind of prefer a country that is willing to accept new ideas in order to further positively affect our social, political, and financial status rather than denying a better system for the simple purpose of keeping a so-called "identity". What's the deal with hating the "AMERICAN" way? If people were truly intelligent, they would get rid of this pitiful nationalist extremism which tells us that all things American are bad and learn to utilize all things that may benefit us. "My god, did you know that Americans use money too?! We should immediately revert to a system of bartering and pit-fighting for goods and services! WAIT! They also speak english! Why was I not informed of this? Screw bilingualism, we should go completely french! Oh no! They have cars and modern houses and their society is the exact same! I demand that we destroy everything made in the past few centuries and immediately introduce tribal society!" Facetious? Yes. Accurate? It's getting there.... And this is not off topic, as you brought up the whole "AMERICAN idea" thing. That has been brought up one too many times... -

Americans - Idiots for bashing Canada!
Redneck Yokel replied to anticlimates's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Anticlimates, who is this addressed to? For the most part Americans would really rather believe that Canada does not exist at all. In the whole scheme of America's foreign worries, Canada is only an infinitesimal part... -
Is it important enough to leave critically ill patients waiting for weeks and months on end just to receive any sort of treatment? Throwing money at a failing system is not the answer. At least the Conservatives have a mind to see the failings in the current system and look at replacing a lame mule.
-
Caesar, would you mind pointing out which moral views the Conservatives would destroy? Also, could you tell me how they would damage our health care system any further than it already has been? (using examples from the Conservative platform... not purely from speculation) As for the environment issue, it would be more worth the time and money to attempt to convince the U.S. and China to adhere to the Kyoto accord than to waste it on the so very little output of Canadians.

Letter sent to politicians across Canada
Redneck Yokel replied to yvestar's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Could you name off a few major resource development projects in any of the territories at this moment? I will not pretend to be knowledgeable in this area, but as far as I know, the only real resource that the territories have is diamonds. I am currently checking up on what type of income this brings in... Also, why would being "sandwiched" by the U.S. be a bad thing? The U.S. is our ally, protector, and largest trading partner... -

Sell the territories to the U.S. for a price equal to our national deficit. Get rid of two problems at once... -
HOW THE FIREARMS ACT (BILL C-68) VIOLATES THE CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS The above is an excellent document to read. Even if the costs were not present, this type of thing is enough to show that the program should have never been implemented.

Only in Canada do you have the losers of a war being treated better than the victors. Only in Canada do you ask yourself, "Where are the rights of the majority?"
