The USSR didn't, just as Iran doesn't have the capability to launch missles that far, they would have been launched from Cuba. I don't know Newfie, I just don't believe it. Especially considering 1/3 of Canada is French Canadian. It's not what I see here in Calgary and this is the most Americanized city in Canada. I just run into lots and lots of Canadians who hate Americans. I personally don't hate "Americans" I just hate what the American culture is brainwashed into believing. Now not all Americans are brainwashed idiots, but their culture certainly speaks for the fast majority of them.

I personally am not conviced that climate change is 100% due to industialisation, that's not to say that I wish for a "free-er market". I believe that it is necessary in many places to allow wild life to grow, however only for human needs (trees for oxygen, fish to eat, aswell as the life forms that sustain them should be saved). To me alot of this global warming stuff is just paranoia spread to the working class to make us believe that a better world is hopeless.

The issue with gay marriage to me, is that it is an issue. I mean seriously people it's the year 2005! How about abolishing marriage!! It'll give women, and minorities a much more liberated position in society.

I don't find the concept of doing to other that which you can prove they would do to you all that barbaric. It's just clearly ignorant in the current conditions where minorities are executed in unproportianate numbers. I'm not against the execution of the owners of big insurance companies.

The last thing we need in Canadian politics is another "moderate" party.

It's a complicated question, the fact is that "we" as individuals can't do anything for anyone. "We" need to start making ourselves a "we", before it is even near possible to end the imperialism that causes much of the hunger, ignorance, and homelessness. On the tsunami subject, if the western ruling class were forced to stop extracting the wealth from these countries, they would have the technology to help themselves, and there would be little need for aid.

If we as Canadians were more defiant to wage slavery in Canada, we could build an attitude for awareness that would strangle the American state, and allow us to keep our resources.

Given US imperialism's past and thier recent history particularly in the middle east, it is beyond naive to think that any American military campaign in the middle east will make the west any safer. The more unstability the Americans create, the longer these people will be trapped by ignorance.

Yes they do seem to sensationalize everything in popular culture, I see no difference with these conspiracy theories. The ruling class only do things they can get away with.

They may possibly be waiting for the Iran war to go down. If they stay out of it, this might get them some votes.
