  1. the israeli government is trying their best to keep the names from going viral. they have so far been able to shutdown sites and take down the list of names from sites such as facebook. but the names keep popping up in a new place.
  2. i read an interesting article in regards to the leaking of 200 names of IDF members. paul larudee talks about the significance of the names being released and how it impacts the average israeli. so far, high ranking israeli officials have been able to escape being prosecuted in other countries due to their connections. however, now, the release of the lower ranking IDF soldiers' names, who don't have the privileges of their superiors, has started to create panic in the israeli society. The publication of the list of 200 changes everything. The list contains the names of a few high-ranking officers, but many of those named are in the lower ranks, all the way down to sergeant. The effect is to make ordinary Israelis concerned that they, too, may be subject to arrest abroad, and without the protection that well-connected higher officials might enjoy. They know what they have done, or been ordered to do, or have ordered others to do, and they suspect that they may be held accountable by foreign laws, over which their government has little control. Many Israelis already fear that an anti-Semitic world is looking for an excuse to shut down the Zionist experiment. It is therefore not a great leap to believe that they could become pawns -- or scapegoats -- in the rising chorus of voices speaking out for Palestinian rights and against Israeli abuses. Coupled with this is the Israeli addiction to vacationing abroad, which is a national obsession and almost a right, in the mind of many. The result is that suddenly, with the release of the list of 200, the prospect of being held accountable outside Israel is no longer an abstraction, to be dealt with at the level of diplomats, government policy and the news stories. It hits home. link
  3. these young people have a lot of balls. kudos to them and anyone else who does not allow nationalism cloud their judgement.
  4. you've made this so black and white for yourself. hey, i'm unapologetic for my support israel's right to exist as well. however, i don't support their expansionism and most of their policies towards the palestinians. just like i don't support illegal policies by israel, i also don't support illegal policies and activities by any other organizations or groups, like hamas. jewish independence and self-determination should not come at the cost of violating international law and human rights.
  5. who cares if you did. most muslim women, just like jewish or christian women are not "subject to the threat of honor killing, deprived of any right to drive, to vote etc." you are spreading lies and trying to defame muslims again, jbg. you suck.
  6. most muslim women are not subject to the threat of honour killing, deprived of any right to drive, to vote, etc.
  7. so $3billion/year of the US tax money is not enough. how about, some goodies for...wait for it... 3 months freeze of illegal settlements !!!111 (oh yeah, east jerusalem illegal settlements are not included what a deal! call 1800-US-Taxpayer if you want goodies! just make sure you have a strong lobby group and a population that has no idea how bad they're being screwed over! here is the awesome deal that israel needs to mull over, before painfully accepting. this is going to be another case of a painful concession by israel. for 3 months of settlement freeze, you will receive: In return, the Israelis would receive 20 advanced American fighter jets and other unspecified military aid, as well as American promises to oppose any Palestinian attempt to obtain international recognition of statehood in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza without Israeli agreement. The United States would veto a United Nations Security Council resolution along those lines and actively work against similar resolutions in forums where it does not have a veto. heh.
  8. most of you posting in this thread are so predictably dull and boring. why does this have to turn into conservative vs liberal like we're watching a predictably dull and boring piece from foxnews or msnbc? just admit when a person is doing something wrong and for once forget which team jersey you're wearing.
  9. you need to relax for a second and re-calculate your calculations. because you are way off with your analysis. richmond, b.c. has over 65% visible minority, yet, they voted in a conservative mp. surrey north, b.c., has over 25% visible minority, yet, they voted in a conservative mp. delta - richmond east, b.c., has over 40% visible minority, yet, they voted in a conservative mp. abbotsford, b.c., has over 23% visible minority, yet, they voted in a conservative mp. South Surrey—White Rock—Cloverdale, b.c., has over 27% visible minority, yet, they voted in a conservative mp. i'm going to stop at vancouver and surrounding areas to squash your so-called factual information. before you say anything, take the time to reprocess everything and think deeper because people don't like to hear or read mumble jumble. especially if the person has already been corrected once. don't forget your own information here. don't forget your own information here. how many of them are eligible to vote? how many of them actually voted? how many of them are eligible to vote? how many of them actually voted? looks like you forgot what you posted earlier: Eligible voters were 665,045. and this: There was 354,070 voters. really? are you counting out of the 1 million population, including those who didn't vote? the children as well? well done. excellent calculation. only 15% calgarians want this guy in office. how about a more real and honest calculation: of the 354000 of those who actually voted (which count for more than 50% of the eligible voters), 40% voted for the muslim guy 32% voted for the non-muslim guy 26% voted for the non-muslim girl i'm happy to know that majority of canadians i talk to, which includes many non-visible minorities, do not live in the foxnews world. let it all out mike david. i hope you will get it.
  10. totally! best thing out of scotland? uhm. hm. oh yeah! a movie made by an aussie american about a scottish hero whose character is very loosely based on a real life terrorist scotts who fought against the occupying british.
  11. you are not making sense. i recommend you try to understand what you're trying to say before posting it.
  12. the attacks will not come from any country, but from individuals making homemade bombs in basements.
  13. apples and oranges. this comparison is another sad example in how far you will go in trying to legitimize israel's land theft and their violation of international law. you are so sad. there have been several treaties in regards to the kuriles, with the most recent being the the treaty of san francisco. The Treaty of San Francisco was officially signed by 49 nations, including Japan and the United States, on September 8, 1951. Article (2c) states: "Japan renounces all right, title and claim to the Kurile Islands link 1956 Soviet-Japanese Joint Declaration and dispute over the composition of the Kuril islands During the 1956 peace talks between Japan and the Soviet Union, the Soviet side proposed to settle the dispute by returning Shikotan and Habomai to Japan. In the final round of the talks the Japanese side accepted the weakness of its claim to Etorofu and Kunashiri and agreed to settle for return of Shikotan and the Habomais, in exchange for a peace treaty. However, the Americans intervened and blocked the deal. The United States warning to Japan that a withdrawal of the Japanese claim on the other islands would mean the United States would keep Okinawa caused Japan to refuse these terms. while in the middle east, israel's borders were clearly defined in 1967 and there is no dispute (except from israel, the perpetrator) that israel is violating international law by annexing palestinian land. the icing on the cake for this pathetic thread and argument was toadbrother's comment: They should feel lucky that the US had the balls to drop a couple of H bombs to send the signal to Stalin "Japan is ours". who the f is this pathetic little warm?
  14. There are approximately 20,000 Canadian citizens living in Israel Link
  15. The judge said he agreed with Galloway's Canadian supporters that "that the main reason why the respondents (the government) sought to prevent Mr. Galloway from entering Canada was that they disagreed with his political views." The judge concluded the government fell short of the standard required to label someone a terrorist. "It is clear that the efforts to keep Mr. Galloway out of the country had more to do with antipathy to his political views than with any real concern that he had engaged in terrorism or was a member of a terrorist organization," the judge stated. "No consideration appears to have been given to the interests of those Canadians who wished to hear Mr. Galloway speak or the values of freedom of expression and association enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms." 16. how did you determine who is the cop and who is the criminal? let me guess, not like the occupying nazi soldiers vs the resistant fighters in europe?
  17. jason kenney has been exposed. in a recent ruling, it was determined that the canadian government is using anti-terrorism as an excuse to suppress legitimate political debate. especially when it comes to questioning the israeli occupation of palestinians and harper's one-sided, unwavering support. in this case, jason kenney used his powers to ban a person, a well-known critic of israel and the war in afghanistan, from coming into canada. as it has been shown, an israeli/jewish lobby group in canada, jewish defense league (JDL), was behind the banning of galloway. close to two years now, jason kenney has been dealing with another lawsuit. this time by the canadian arab federation (CAF). after kenney had accused CAF of being an anti-semitic organization, he used this charge as a pretext for cutting funding to some CAF run programs. kenney also used every occasion to smear CAF and associate its activities with terrorism and anti-Semitism. after much delay by kenney and his 5 different legal representatives (paid by us, the taxpayers), it is expected that kenney will lose this as well and will further expose him.
  18. what's the difference between khadr and the soldier he killed? i mean, besides the fact that khadr was a boy when this was done. is a uniform a license to kill? why were the families of the soldiers in the court room crying and demanding justice? do they cry for the hundreds of thousands of people, many civilians who have been killed by soldiers similar to the person who was killed by khadr? the system is broken and many of you here have a broken moral compass.
  19. dogonporch shamelessly battles any criticism of israel with a few desperate cards since he is unable to use facts. the antisemitism card is his favourite.
  20. here is another example of israeli soldier enjoying humiliating palestinian prisoners. this goes back to the sickness of the israeli culture.
  21. there you go again with your auto zionist bot response which makes no sense. how is not attacking an aid ship and killing 9 civilians, a suicide pack? how is removing the settlements a suicide pack? think before you type.
  22. conflict between religions have existed for centuries, no shit. but this does not change the fact that the majority muslims in palestine lived in relative peace with the christians and jews. things changed once the mass zionist immigration started happening from russia and other parts of europe.
  23. he usually runs into this problem when facts are presented to counter his misinformation and lies. the same goes with the other israel cheerleaders.
  24. i hate to break it to you, israel and north korea, but not 'anything' goes when it comes to sovereignty. there is something called international law, which actually helped create the state of israel. putting aside human compassion, israel, just like almost all other countries are signatories to international law and they have a responsibility to follow it.
