This is terrible legislation and violates the principles of copyright law. When you purchase a movie or a cd you are buying a license to use that media for life. The license does not expire. What the entertainment industry has been trying to do for a long time now is license the actual media... which is theft because the user is deprived of the use of their license when the media wears out. They must then go back to the vendor and purchase another set of media and in doing so they are being stolen from. They are paying again for an intellectual property license they already own. The entertainment industry has stolen billions from users with this scam. They should not be trying to tell you what you can do with the material, only how you can use it. You should be able to copy of a piece of media as many times as you want to whichever kinds of media you want as long as you dont use the material in a way that violates the terms of the license you purchased to use the content. Intellectual property laws are badly in need of reform, but this is the exact opposite kind of reform needed.

These are easy... 1. The international investigation will be made up of jew hating terrorist supporters. 2. You just hide behind semantics. Blockade VS Occupation, etc. The important element is control. 3. Because all those experts are jew hating terrorist supporters.

The legality of what goes on over there is wholly and completely irrelevent. International law is selectively enforced, and enforced only when someone wants to step up and do it. Israel having a lackey on the UNSC with a veto virtually makes them completely exempt.

The bottom line is that the Israeli account has no credibility as long as they are trying to cover up the event and keep evidence from getting out. No reasonable mind is going to believe someones account of an event when they are trying to suppress the evidence. So at this point we are really just left guessing.

I dont think it says much really. Governments generally know how to push the buttons of their own people, and its usually not too tough to get the drums of war beating. You denounce dissent as unpatriotic, exxagerate security concerns, and draw from whatever imagery you have available.

None of this matters and none of these ideas will work. Theres simply no reason for Israel to give any usefull land back.

Theyve tried that... before this latest round of violence started there were almost no attacks for a period of a couple of years and the PLO was able to reign in its militants. The occupation didnt end, and settlement building INCREASED. Nothing the Arabs do or dont do will end the occupation, end of story. The reason its gone on is because Israel is dependant on resources in the occupied territories for its survival. Israel wont give up any territories with substancial water resources PERIOD. And in Israels defense no other country on earth would either if they were in that position.

I actually think most of our success comes despite our government. We are probably the most geographically wealthy region in the world... we only have an international border with one country and that country is a close friend and boasts the largest consumer market in the world. We have some of the largest oil reserves in the world, some of the best forests, and among the longest coastlines. Couple all that with a relatively small population and this is probably the easiest country in the whole world to run.

Im well aware of the history there regarding squabling over control of the River Jordans headwaters, and the inherent vulnerability for Israel in being a downstream state. Some of the very first violence in the conflict resulted from Israel bombing various attempts by arabs to divert the water and starve Israel out. Israel will not give up control of the mountain aquifier that 1/3rd of their drinking water comes from. Any deal with Jordan has no relevance because these water resources are in the west bank and Israel will not give up control they currently use about 80% of the water from the west bank leaving palestinians about 20%. Israel absolutely WILL NOT give up these resources... no country on earth would voluntarily give up 1/3 of their water supply. Never mind one in that region. And the water in the Kinneret is receding as well making the chance of Israel giving up this water even more laughable. Just forget it. Youll be having this same argument until the day you die. Your grand children and their grand children will still be dealing with those morons over there.

Of course they would still recieve funding. The funding is based on the needs of people in the occupied territory not the reputation of Hamas. And what enables and emboldens them is the 40+ year long military occupation... a boon for militant organizations in the region. But again... none of this matters... Chance of a resolution to the conflict = ZERO. Both sides will oppose it. Chance of two state solution = ZERO. Israel wont give up control of water in the west bank, and the palestinians wont compromise on East J Thats pretty much the end of it. The ONLY way a resolution will ever happen there is if UNSC decides to get serious about forcing both sides to comply with the law.
