No, wrong again. The difference between two breeds of dogs matters, and has very relevant impacts in the real world... A chihuahua for instance will have different dietary habits and different tolerances and capacities... imagine using a chihuahua as a guard dog ... or having it sleep outside in a snowbank as though it was a st-bernard. But once again to quote James Serpell’s The Domestic Dog: ”Recently using genetic and biochemical methods researchers have shown domestic dogs to be virtually identical . . . to other members of the genus . . . Results using mtDNA (mitochondrial DNA) data . . . reveal startling similarities among canids . . . Greater mtDNA differences appeared within the single breeds of Doberman Pinscher or poodle than between dogs and wolves . . . to keep things in perspective, it should be pointed out that there is less mtDNA difference between dogs, wolves, and coyotes, than there is between ethnic groups of human beings.” (pp. 32-33) The difference between two broadly defined human races is GREATER then between 2 breeds of dogs... yet strangely... liberals and even normal people around the globe universally have no problem distinguishing dog races... even if these are less important (and much less relevant) -

yes absolutely the first hominid groups are traced back to africa... To "Lucy" and other pre-human anthropoids, thousands of generations ago. Just as Darwinius masillae is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwinius, another missing link is 47 million years ago (but was found in germany) Just as we all come from the microscopic speck of protoplasmic jelly floating in the tepid waters of the Paleozoic Sea BILLIONS of years ago. Does that mean that we're all equal? Evolution is not only quantitative is it qualitative. Nature knows of no equality, rather nature operates according to an iron law of INEQUALITY... even two twins are different! -

and races are all varieties of "Homo sapiens"... that's what human races are! Clines/ groups of genetic clusters differently evolved and slightly mutated over different geographical areas. The only difference is that while politically correct lemmings have no problem calling a Great Dane ... a Great Dane (instead of a Canis lupus), they insist that a human is a human ... and that any attempt at classifying or distinguishing the difference clines, sub-races and races or "varieties" or by products of human evolution are sinful and shameful... Thank you for making my point. -

um... are you kidding I DID CITE THE SOURCE... re read it again (James Serpell’s The Domestic Dog: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0521425379/) how would sub-species age be all that relevant? The domestic dog is young ... but the genus canis from which it comes is actually older then the Homo Erectus. By the way such traits as blond hair are very young as well and originate from the Ice Age 17-18 000 years ago. Either way any theory of human equality would have to show that some unnamed force, deity or phenomena put a stop to human evolution 64 000+ years ago and that no mtDNA has changed since, which of course fly's in the face of all the compiled biological knowledge we have acquired since as well as common sense. -

wrong! Where do you get this drivel? As Michael Bamshad noted in "Nature Genetics": ”Frequently, it is erroneously contended that the high (85–95%) within group variance of human populations is inconsistent with the existence of races because differences between individuals are greater than differences between groups. Such low FST values are sometimes misinterpreted to mean that genetic differences between individuals within sub-Saharan Africa, Asia or Europe are typically greater than differences between individuals on different continents. A positive FST indicates, however that individuals from different populations are, on average, slightly more different from one another than are individuals from the same population” (p. 5-7) Think for a second, how can we tell apart Europeans and Africans if so much gene flow is shared by them? How can we tell apart a wolf and an Kickapoo (different species) when they are even less genetically differentiated from each other than is a European and an African? The answer is that ancestry jumbles together certain genes. Two different dobermans might differ on a number of genes which don’t add up to any consistent pattern, but the relatively smaller number of genes that distinguish the dobermans from the wolves are also found together in a statistically predictable way according to and predictable by ancestry. The combination of extreme phenotipical traits that form a doberman are almost all right there in the wolf genome and vice versa, but a wolf would never give birth to anything that looked like a Doberman and vice versa because it would be an impossible genetic shuffle to randomly generate. This miracle is the essence of natural selection - shuffling together ordered patterns over time from raw genetic flow. human evolution cannot be altered in the foreseeable future short of mass genocide or chemical damage... Breaking down geographical lines will not change humans and make them more alike even through miscegenation. you argue out of Lewontin's fallacy: http://www.gnxp.com/MT2/archives/lewontindebunked.pdf -

At the end of the day, all that you're putting forth is a "lowest common denominator" argument... when confronted with the fact of racial differences you merely trivialize the matter and say that in essence we are all substancially the same... well guess what all dogs are MORE "substancially the same" then any two ethnicities of humans. That's right there's more similitude between a Weimaraner and a cocker spaniel then there is between a Inuit and a Black person. To quote James Serpell’s The Domestic Dog: ”Recently using genetic and biochemical methods researchers have shown domestic dogs to be virtually identical . . . to other members of the genus . . 32-33) tiny mtDNA in humans are responsible for very important and real differences. To illustrate that... imagine for an moment that we share 99.8% of our DNA code with chimpanzees. Yet, who in the world would say that we are substancially equal to chimps? -

the source defines it as such out of catechism... out of the new orthodoxy of political correctness. Just as homosexuality used to be called a type of satanic affliction in more religious days... Its totally false. Not only does it run against the grain of common sense ALL OVER THE WORLD, but it is also refuted by medical science and biological evolution. To say that humans are not subject to the laws of biological evolution, and that humans don't evolve, are all the same and will stay the same is a gross delusion... its on par with thinking that tadpoles come from horse's hair... Many academic prostitutes pay homage to the concept of equality... just as many evolutionnary scientists professed a belief in the primitive Christian deity, but that's mainly so that the politically correct rabble won't harass them. After seeing what happened to the father of genetics (James Watson) you can see their point. -

Totally false... All dogs have the ability to interbreed, except where extreme variations in size exist... a mastiff and a chihuahua say. Dogs are all one specie... just as we humans are all one specie... but would dream to regard dog as precisely equal? Likewise who but a madman could look at the astonishing diversity of human evolution... can look at a congo pygmie and a northern asiatic (korean say) and say that these are exactly the same? -

Whether "black guys" can relate to Aesop's fables or Western Civilization is not really my concern. I do not presume to know what's best for blacks... I don't want to be involved with educating them, feeding them or telling them how to run their own lives (either here in canada) or in the regions of sub saharan africa. I think that past contact and history has shown us that we're not very mutually beneficial for each other... quite the contrary actually.... My problem is when the black presence combined with our policy of multiculturalism results in a situation where I'M NOT ALLOWED THE SAME RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES AS OTHER RACES. That results in an education system that is more concerned with therapy then actual EDUCATION: Multiculturalists tell us that education can build the self-esteem of minority students by presenting non-White cultures in a favorable light in order to compensate for historical and curricular injustices thereby restoring cultural equality between racial groups. This is simply therapy packaged as education. Our multicult program aims to enhance self-esteem by teaching the students of so called aggrieved or "oppressed" cultures to be proud of their particular ancestry or race. When education is turned into therapy, the automatic result is to teach history not to ascertain truth, or acquire useful knowledge but to empower (i.e., enhance the self-esteem) of various racial minority enclaves. The result is the introduction of distortions, half-truths, fabrications, and myths into the curriculum in order to make students from certain groups feel good. For instance, at my cousin's school during Black history month, children had to thank the black students because black employment in canada during WW2 was deemed "crucial" to ammunition production in canada... and of course presumably we'd all be speaking german if it weren't for the handful of semi illiterate church ladies that pressed ammo... And so they had to write letters thanking one or another black person for whatever half baked drivel the "Educators" proposed (blacks were excused from the exercise). If blacks have a history month to learn about the wonderful invention of peanut butter and are allowed to teach their children (THEIRS AND... OURS (!) in schools programs which strengthen their African identity and raise them as africans... then why is it unreasonable to ask the same for whites? Not only is this deleterious to white children's self esteem, but it also undermines education Academic standards of excellence are of no importance to the multiculturalists since they are seen as mere means of non-white oppression. We've all heard the tommyrot about how "IQ tests are racist"... Not only are objective testing denounced as culturally biased or even racist, but some more extreme multiculturalists demand that students be graded only within their cultural or racial group and/or that tests be redesigned so that minority students perform on the average as well as those in the dominant cultural group. So far as i'm concerned, if black Canadians want to wear bubu's and learn swahili, let them. But it would behoove us to give the same deference to white children, and provide them with programs free of the log rolling clutter of multiculturalism... they shouldn't have to suffer: be looked as inferiors (their heritage and history scoffed at or ridiculed, their ancestors forgotten) and at the same time deny them a decent education... -

I personally find blonde jokes very obnoxious and sad. In some more extreme cases they are simply surreptitious hatred... and I'm almost certain that many minorities use them to air their hatred of the minority of ill-starred people who have hair that resembles spun gold... They like to put down and spit at what they can't produce. My ex girlfriend used to nervously laugh at blonde jokes (she had very bright almost metallic blonde hair) it used to sadden me that her rare and beautiful hair wasn't a source of confidence and self-esteem. And of course you're utterly right... put the shoe on the other foot... imagine if we say that kinky haired people were stupid... then the sky would be falling and all sorts of hate crimes would be investigated... and charter rights, and american woman, peterF and the like would all come howling in this forum to moan about "raaaay-cism".. another double standard... .they're really starting to pile up -

I bet you the curriculum will consist mainly in attributing Egypt and Ancient Greece to black africans... then they,ll say black people invented civilization, paper, and just about every worthwhile invention and that african's were happy care-free people that could fly by telekinesis UNTIL ... "of course" (cue the dramatic music) the Europeans came and took all of their superior powers away from them (surreptitiously of course) Or maybe they'll teach the more venomous brand of black supremism.. That teaches that a black Ethiopian "scientist" name Yakub 8000 years ago invented white people in his lab to serve as slaves.... but of course: something went terribly wrong with the experiment... and now its up to blacks to put things back to rights again... -

no one claims to co-opt these "inventions" No, we get to claim membership of the extended family of all those brilliant minds. Its not like I believe that I discovered electricity by saying that I belong European kin. It means that I belong to a continuum of a peculiar cline and civilization... If anything it gives me a stronger sense of identity, a much stronger sense of community... of rootedness, relatedness with the past and connection with the future... Learning about our great and noble ancestors is very positive I think. Everyone should be acquainted with a people's hero's and geniuses... That's what role models are made of... it gives people a context a purpose and something to strive for... For instance, one of the special charms that Aesop's Fables holds for me is the knowledge that Alexander the Great, for example, had read exactly these same compiled fables when he was a child, more than 2,400 years ago. When we are told about the boy who cried, wolf, The Mischievous Dog, and think about the lessons these stories teach, it should thrill us to think that nearly every great man in Western history, for thousands of years, had read these same stories as children and had learned the same lessons. I don't know how you misconstrue that as anything else... -

Your chronology is pretty selective of course... you generously ignore the Ancient Solutreans who left artifacts and positive biological traces of being in North America 14 to 16 000 years ago. Solutrean spearheads have been found in Virgina, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Clovis in New Mexico and up in Idaho. Kennewick Man was a latter-day Solutrean. Professor Bradley of The University of Exeter, England and Dennis Stanford, PhD of the Smithsonian in Washington are coming out with a powerful new book in 2008 PROVING that white Europeans settled North America thousands of years before any Asiatic Indians. Even in south/central america! 2,000-year-old mummies of the blond and red-haired Viracocha people are all over coastal Peru. The Inca people admitted to the Spanish that the white "Viracocha" founded the first civilization... The conquistador, Pedro Pizarro, mentions in particular "certain individuals in present day Peru who were White and had red hair and europoid features. Thor Heyerdahl, in his book "Aku-Aku: The Secret of Easter Island" (George Allen & Unwin, London 1988 page 351). Either way what you said is totally unambiguous, and no amount of quibbling can make it different: you said that Europeans were TINY BRAINED... Then you go about saying that European achievements are grossly "bloated" "myths" (I suppose no one invented the airplane, the combustion engine etc.. those too like race are figments of the imagination... Combine these two (and MANY MANY other posts of yours) and it all amounts to Europeans being inferior vis a vis other races... how else could one interpret "tiny brained" ... stop denying ... just admit that you hate white people and see them as profane inferiors.. -

Hermann was not Berber. The drafters of the universal charter of Human rights were not Korean... To say that Europeans are not creative and stole their inventions is nothing but undisguised hatred and contempt and is solely meant to defame Europeans because of some resentment that they did do some great and noble things... because you wish to portray europeans as somehow supremely evil... to dehumanize them, call them "thieves" so you can better oppress them and squeeze more guilt taxes from them... And I'm sorry, but I provided startling images from Cité soleil haiti and other regions that are literally.. .and I mean literally... cesspools... meaning: excrement laced trash heaps... I'm sorry that I used a simple direct and accurate word to describe it... but calling Haiti a "beautiful and wondrous land" won't make it any less of a cesspool. They shouldn't be insulted for my ACCURATE USE OF THE TERM. If large parts of canada were swimming in human excrements and looked like landfills, I'd call those CESSPOOLS as well.. -

I do see the point that Black History is to give relevance to "black achievement" and to give a sense of pride in their own race and roots to blacks... my only objection is that history cannot be used in the same way by whites... I don't understand how you can continue to gloss over that... what I propose is the closest thing to EQUAL TREATMENT one can propose. history is all encompassing... but for purposes of expedition, we usually don't learn Swahili and Dinka witch doctor medicine- we tend to focus on the most relevant aspects. Lack of concision is a big problem... and either way no worries, most high schoolers get out of high school (well the ones that do.. about 56%) utterly ignorant of history altogether... so there! were much better off aren't we!
