Obviously,Canada relys heavily on cross border trade,when that is slowed down because trucks crossing the border are hampered when crossing to the US, are the liberals going to pay the extra billions in dollars it will take to do trade out of the party fortunes,lol,or will their solution be to raise taxes again,even though our unemployment rate will be around 30%,rather than the 7 to 10 %it is now?

The separatist parties of Quebec do not need to soil their reputation by illegal collections of money, the Canadian taxpayer keeps their operations running quite nicely by paying their salaries with tax money collected from B. C. to Newfoundland.

I will agree with you on those points,but the finances of Quebec are still yet to suffer under any liberal regime.Any financial losses in your province come from tax money supporting the Bloc or the parti q.

Why don't you ask a police officer how he or she tells the difference? People who are going to register their guns legally will not have shooting an officer foremost on their minds.However,a person of criminal intent that will not register a gun, would use their gun in a split second on an officer.Hence,any police officials I have heard talk on the subject,said the money would have been better spent such things as hiring more officers. I think that it is quebec that does understand that without the lions share of federal money they receive now ,they would be in a very fine financial mess. So this imbalance they are fighting for,does it mean they only want their fair share,which would be considerably less than they get now?

I know,sorry, but if Gomery is dismissed because of his speaking out of turn,this will in no way benefit Canadians as a whole. If chretien and his lawyers are successful in having him removed,the liberals will have won,and the average Canadien will have lost more than an inquiry,but theywill have lost the ability to have a government ever again that will be accountable to the Canadian people.The winners once again will be the liberal party of Canada,as they will now be beyond reproach,and the province of quebec,having tax payer money from all of Canada once again concentrated to their province. you are exactly right,and that is the reason why the liberal party is so desparate to give into any demand the province of quebec puts forth,it is all about votes from quebec which has always kept them in power,but quebec ceases to want to be a part of Canada,something the liberals have not yet grasped.So in the meantime,the province of quebec is more than willing to take liberal dollars,paid for by Canadian tax payers who think we still have good governance,and quebec laughs at the rest of Canada for having the backbone of a jellyfish. Anything wrong in Canada can be traced back to the liberal party or quebec,in their constant wrangling for power,while the interests of all other Canadians takes a back seat or is relagated as racism towards quebec or just silliness on the part of the rest of Canada.

It is not clear to you that quebec dictates most decisions by the liberal party,which therefore allows quebec to control the rest of Canada.Canada has never in it's history looked so bad on the world stage as it does now,mostly by quebec influence,which does not relate to the wishes or desires of the rest of Canada.

If chretien is sucessful with his plans to rid the adscam affair of Gomery,what should be the next move for Canadians,as this clearly shows that an ex politician did and still can influence the judicial system.Should we vote in a party that truly stands for democracy,or continue to vote for liberals and their obvious abuse of taxpayers money; their contempt for Canada,and all of our laws,all of our pride as a nation, with the exception of quebec,that is apparently worth everything,even the illegal spending of taxpayers money.

A true democracy does not allow the minority to dictate all functions of the government ,as we have now with the Liberals obeying the demands of quebec in order to secure their ever declining support from that province. When liberal politicians finally realize that quebec seperation is a done deal,then they will try to salvage what is left of the rest of Canada,and hopefully english Canada will have wisdom enough to see that for so many years the liberals only concern was to placate quebec and that the the interests of all of Canada were seriously neglected.

A little bit of a stretch there.The conservatives picked up more seats this past election.The liberals lost seats,hence their minority position.With just a few more Canadians voting with some conscience,the liberals should be the opposition next time.
