  1. Get real. Go out in the street and listen to what is going on,before the street bites you in the southern regions.
  2. Very condescending of you,or very liberal perhaps. No,I don't follow the polls, but I am observant enough to see how they can affect the outcome of an election, not always for the benefit of Canada.
  3. I would have to argue. The polls have quite a force on the way Canadians vote.Let's face it,most Canadians are lazy when it comes to choosing a political party. The polls direct them who to vote for.As with the present situation, the Liberals should be headed for a Kim Campbell style defeat, with all the unanswered questions about adscam ,etc.,but as long long as the pollsters give them a high rating, the minority of Canadians who do vote, will definitely be swayed by the pollsters.
  4. This topic is getting the same attention it did when I called the PM's office to convey my thoughts about this man calling the shots for a country he wants dismantled. I guess most Canadians are asleep or stupid if they will vote for a party that welcomes this man as positive force to the well being of all Canadians. They should realize his interests are for the taxpayers money of Canada to go to Quebec, not Canada as a whole, and keeping him in a position of power within the liberal party of Canada tells me where their priorities are and have been for quite sometime.Screw the ROC.,they will still vote for us.Sadly, most Canadians will vote Liberal.
  5. To udawg, Speak for yourself. The english language is not the only thing that all the first settlers had in common. "English Canada"has been more than fair and tolerant in accepting people from all cultures and languages. Secondly,we are a nation created mostly by the British Empire. This country was built on their ideals, which included rights for all new immigrants, even the Irish. The amazing thing was all these people had a common goal,to build a country that was prosperous and a place new immigrants could call their own. It worked for quite awhile, but the major problem now is the plan by the Liberal gov.to allow all new Canadians to retain their intolerances of other peoples when they move to Canada, and it is hardly a platform to build a nation with common interests or goals.
  6. The liberals play it safe ,but sooner or later, and one can only hope, that Canadians will see through them.At one time,if a PM had said,",it's only a couple of million dollars not accounted for",there would have been enough public outcry he would have been arrested or forced to resign. The Canada of today,it looks like,is ready to vote his sidekick back into another four years of the same less than reputable governance of Canada. Some flags that should be waving are inexplicably lying flat somewhere.
  7. Well, you have to take into account a politician, let's say Dalton from Ontario, who said "I won't raise your taxes, but I won't lower them either". Since he was elected, there has not been a day where a new scheme to collect money from the people of Ontario has not been enforced or put out as a trial ballon. If Canadians could not see the real Dalton in the public debate with the other leaders, then God help us in the federal election coming up.
  8. When English Canada finally has their language reduced to a language where it is used only as a necessity by all new Canadians and Quebecers, maybe they will finally realize that they have been taken advantage of,at the cost of their own language and heritage. Is English Canada so blindly benevolent that losing their own identity, culture, and language,is second in importance to the social manipulating done by the the liberals?
  9. The first step would be not to vote for a party that continually raises taxes and creates more problems economically and otherwise by doing so.
  10. Every liberal government tries to solve problems by raising taxes. This always has an adverse affect on our economy, whether it be provincial or federal. Are we now at the point ,if the Liberals are re-elected,that a necessary tax revolt should be implemented by Canadians?
  11. The liberals popularity is gaining again, according to one of the latest polls. We all know the ndp newbies get sucked in to vote ndp, because they can't think rationally, and can't take a joke, but what is it with the Liberals. Are Canadians of this age stupid,or is corruption an accepted part of their life, and therefore an accepted trait of their esteemed Liberal leaders?Or ,do the Liberals buy off the pollsters?
  12. Mr. Bouchard must have been a good team player then in your mind.
  13. I bet they will call the election at the most awkward time for the majority of Canadians. That's really the closest date I can give. You can be damned sure they are trying very hard at the moment trying to figure out this exact date. It might fit in with the 2 week construction holiday in Quebec, which I think is in early July.
  14. With the new and improved liberal gov.,we now have 8 former Quebec seperatists,or nationalists, acting as Liberals to uphold Canadian ideals. Does anyone in this country not see a problem with this,or at least a conflict of interest, that it is really treasonous of them to infiltrate the liberal party?
  15. No,I would say in true liberal fashion, the actual election date will be between Aug. 21 and first week of September when most families are busy with so many other issues, they will once again forget why they shouldn't vote liberal.
  16. Yes, it is possible for an NDP victory, and the reason why, Bush and his team are supporting them. When they decide to take us over, like they plan to do with Iraq,a pacifist Canadian government will be easier to overthrow, but Bush doesn't realize the liberals have surpassed the NDP in fighting for left wing ideals.
  17. That's a loaded question. If you're a liberal, and believe in their non ethical and non sensible approach to governing, obviously Martin is all Canadian, bar none. If you are a conservative, and common sense plus a vision to work through what is best for ALL Canadians is what represents a real Canadian leader, then your man is Harper. So in the end,the voters will decide what Canadians most want the world to know us as. If the liberals win even a minority government, then kiss the ground you walk on goodbye, because it will never be the same again, and not worth the spit the liberals have sprayed on it.
  18. The election will be called on or before April 29th.
