What do you mean? Just have one 4 seat riding for PEI. Actually, if it were up to me, I'd have one each for the 4 maritime provinces. I know that wouldn't fly but I think that local representation is highly overrated.

ETA: MMP would have similar issues because unless you increase the number of MP's, ridings need to be bigger.

And I think there was a healthy debate on this site on niqabs - which is amazing considering the context in which the topic first came up. If you want to discuss immigration, do it. Just be aware that a lot of anti-immigration sentiment comes from racists or people who are prejudiced against some group or religion. And frame the discussion accordingly.

That's a fair point - I'd forgotten about Mulcair's refusal to participate in debates. I agree it now looks like a really bad decision. They could have made Harper look bad if he'd sat out. His candidates looked like they were running away from candidate debates across the country.

Just my humble opinion but I think that the NDP has a higher proportion of supporters who are fanatically devoted to the party (go spend time at rabble.ca or the tyee to see what I mean) MMP gives more power to the party and STV gives more to the individual candidates.
