The Federal Republic of Canada

Well, not quite. You'll still end up with US-style plutocracy, which is more modern than monarchy anyway. -

Well, there's always room for improvement. We've still got to go a bit to become #1 -
Canadians & Israelis - The Happiest People in the World
PoliticalCitizen replied to jbg's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Hey jbg, I live in a Russian-Jewish neighbourhood and the people surrounding me are all extremely nice and helpful. All of them used Israel as a jumping pad to get to Canada. But I must admit that the Israeli brainwashing works really well - they somehow feel strongly attached to that country although not living there. I believe most of them left because they didn't want their children (boys and girls) to serve in the army. But we here in Canada are very happy and happily welcome them -

Canadians - sure, why shouldn't we be happy? Israelis - Bull-freaking-shit. They flee their artificially created appratheid state in hordes, mostly settling in Canada and USA. Who would want to live in a country surrounded by mortal enemies? Dream on... -
First we must all agree that she's human with no supernatural powers. Once this is established we can say she had to have a place of bitrh (unless you believe she transcended from another plane of existence without having to go through the trouble of being pushed out of or extracted from another human female's womb), which is most likely Britain and may have a place of residence (which I believe is Buckingham palace); both of which make her British. But don't let me tell that to you, I'm by no means a monarchy scholar. Why don't you take a look for yourself on the queen's official website, which is unequivocally named "The Official Website of The British Monarchy": http://www.royal.gov.uk/HMTheQueen/HMTheQueen.aspx Oh yeah, it does mention that she's also the head of state of 15 "other Commonwealth realms". I guess one of those unnamed "realms" would be us. We should be really proud she's our god-given queen - we even got somehow mentioned on her British website... Yuck...

Russia Approaching Canadian Airspace!
PoliticalCitizen replied to wulf42's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Good luck with that. Last country that tried that was Georgia - it looks two little bits smaller on the map now Besides our Big Brother to the South will probably take whatever they believe is theirs without Canada being able to do much about it as we depend on them for our national defence. -
OK - but last time, only because I believe there's at least a small percentage of genuine interest in another point of view and not just a blind desire to argue I never said we're living in servitude but if we're no longer a colony why do we need to have a monarch born and living in another country as our head of state?

Ship of Sri Lankan Tamils Arrives in Canada
PoliticalCitizen replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
They came here to avoid persecution, discrimination and extermination in the country that used to be their home. No chance to build or rebuild anything when you're in a refugee camp. -
Huh? Well your suspicion is wrong, my friend. Have you ever been to Quebec city? As I said before - unless she was born in Canada, of Canadian ancestry and lives here she's not Canadian. So subservience is in your blood... I think I begin to understand the royalists... National unity??? You've never even spoken to a Quebequois, have you? A Canadian President should be the head of state. Power should be shared between the President and the PM.
