  1. I still laugh when I see people use WIKIS as a reference. Doesn't the Bul-phoney era have anything to do with all this mess that is going on? Wait til they start fighting over water....
  2. So if he/she throws a spear and uses a bow and arrow; canoes and kayaks; catches salmon and hunts does that mean they are assimilated as aboriginal people and therefore the aboriginal culture is alive and well? Or, does that mean they are recreationalists?
  3. This is so true Charter! But the sad thing about it, is there are lots of decent non-native people in our society. There are whites out there that'll use that as a big front and commit horrendous acts. And they'll get a way with it because of their skin color. What we hear about is probably just the tip of the iceberg. I know scores of unsolved cases closed probably closed just to protect some redneck arses arse. The "Highway of Tears" along HWY 16 in BC is another example. There are probably people in all these communities who know exactly who it is but are engaged in a "Conspiracy of Silence." The media is so full of crap that the only time I pick up a paper is when someone leaves it in the restaurant as a stray paper. I'II read the horoscopes Quiet a few years ago in some small town in BC, the newspaper reported this incident about a non-native guy beaten so badly that he was crippled. He was apparently beaten by 4 natives. The only problem? It was the other way around, where 4 rednecks kicked the crap out of a native guy almost killing him and crippling him. The paper decided to report it making the natives look bad (in other words, outright lie and make the indians look badly). And you'd never believe it, this was right when Gustafsen Lake was happening? Of course, the cops did nothing about it....
  4. Angus! Don't believe everyrhing you think!
  5. Wow! I'm impressed that you know all the names of the gangs I've never heard of! Congrats! What gang do you belong too?
  6. You....Jerry Fartin, Angus, etc etc all really need to think about why it really bothers you so much? You know what they say, when you find faults in others, it really is a reflection of yourself? Look deeply and think about why they bother you so much? WHat is it about you? Why are you walking around with a dirty conscience?
  7. Considering your comments here and what has been done to aboriginal people in Canada since the arrival of the boats from Europe...every last one of you will be in the DNA data bank
  8. Do you believe everything you read? I have a bit of advise for you--Don't believe everything you think!
  9. Yes billions spent on management and the resources still collapse...my aunt summed it up nicely..."what do these clowns do the rest of the year when there isn't any fishing going on?... The DFo at Burnt Church also rammed natives in a boat--to me it looked at a deliberate attempt to kill...then when they came back on shore they all had dumb smirks on their faces...now that's a waste of money to employ these bozos...
  10. Sometime I like to come on here just for a good laugh! Thanks Jerry Fartin! Good luckin with your beefin fart with the government!!
  11. As long as they are 2 levels of governments (provincial vs feds), the constitution and the courts at provincial and federal, there will never a total equal for whatever that means. There will all sorts of jurisdictional conflicts. This is seen with DIA and other jurisdictions like fisheries. Something that people like Angus and Jerry Fartin (oops or fortin) don't see. One person on here mentioned something about political correctness of the term "Indian." What I've found is that the small minds know that some natives don't like the term "indians," and will deliberatley use it for some sort of cheap thrill, including right wing wacko politicians. When you think about it, the reason the government still uses it is because it was the term spelled out in the first Indian Act of 1876 and was therefore entrenched into the constitution. To change it would mean a constitutional amendment.
  12. Why is the truth unintelligent?
  13. This country was built by a bunch of boat people squatters from Europe. The boats back then didnt have showers so I would have hated to be the indian who greeted them over here. If you don't appreciate what you got out of those boat people squatters then shut your yap and go back! If they didnt squat for your bigot arse, you wouldnt have any tax money to whine about. SO please get on that boat and go back to the land where all the european squatters came from....
  14. Your verbal diahrea is sickening!
  15. Im going with a final similar to 1989--Calgary and Montreal! You heard it hear first!
  16. I meant to say...Why is the province trying to rule on a matter that falls under federal jurisdiction?
  17. I don't smoke anyways! Why do you want concrete facts over something that is obvious? The fact is a "fact is not a feeble attempt but it is a fact?" It's that simple. If you can't see my point about conflicting government jurisdictions, and their accompanying courts then you need to change your lightbulb. Why is the province trying to rule on a provincial matter?
  18. No I didnt say that....I said the extra level is a waste of time and money! Aboriginal People fall under federal jurisdiction. SO to go through a provincial court first, when the bozos know that it will have to eventually get to the federal level anyways, is a waste of time and money. Wow you're a real lightulb.
  19. You're funny! Hey one thing you should know is that the provincial supreme courts are a waste of time and money when it comes to aborginal issues. In another thread here, some guys is blabbin on about economic rights. What most people like you don't even realize, is that the 2 levels of government and all the accompanying institutions are the governments prized "gray area." It's how they've gotten things through and continue to get things through. When it comes to aboriginal issues and provincial supreme courts it's all crap and that's all there is to that-- a huge waste of taxpayers money based on total biased legal crap all twisted to meet the needs of the provinces...you say that the court threw a case out on flase testimony! Well when you think about it, the provincial supreme courts are in a jurisdiction equivalent to a cracker jack box!!
  20. A "Real brainwave lightbulber" who left the tape in a box in a office that was soon to be taken over by the opposition! Maybe the guy was drunk!! Damn drunken rightwinger! Worse than a kid!!
  21. quote name='Wild Bill' date='Apr 6 2008, 09:50 AM' post='303297'] Nice dodge on my request for a source... It works both ways...I can't remember if it was you, but it may have been Angus. I requested an example of where a First Nation has dreamt up oral history for contemporary objectives? I'm looking forward to all your responses.[
  22. Holy SMokes! You're all babblin on like a bunch of kids!! One day the right wing element may snap out of the "lil-kid-immature mentality." Good Luck!
  23. He stated in his apology "insensitive, intolerant and stupid!" He forgot to say "drunken bigot!" Somebody a few messages back used the term "cultural engineering." I've never heard that term before but isn't it interesting how that same cultural engineering through the mass media has created a culture of genuine hatred towards aborignal people as well? What the MP said in 1991, is just a "scratch on the surface" of what really is said and done out there. These bigots are in power--I said it before and III say it again--"they're all worse then kids." And that's pretty pathetic
  24. The whole right or left stuff is crap! Im just straightforward and honest! All you fools are so dictated by money!
