McHale running as an Independent in election
kengs333 replied to Ontario Loyalist's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I'm not a white supremacist. I've made this clear time and time again, yet you flippantly continue referring to me as such. In such a case, you know that I have to respond... I think your conduct of typical of the kind of nonsense coming from Six Nations and is a reminder to everyone of what kind of people that Caledonians are dealing with on a day-to-day basis. -
Discriminatory practice in Alberta

I don't know, I find the OP to be a little dubious.... i) the use of the phrase "piss test" ii) "we have had chinese workers dying up in our Gulag work camps in the oilsands" iii) the illogic of the final paragraph; this is a federal, not provincial, election, and what does declining productivity and job losses have to do with his supposed Paruresis? -
It's a logical decision to use any men that are capable of fighting when the enemy is getting closer, but I think a true sign of deperation would have been the use of women in combat roles, as the Soviets did. The Germans never really did this; I believe the only widespread use of women in "combat" would have been female anti-aircraft crews. You have to keep in mind that many of the high ranking Germans--Hitler most of all--were under the delusion that the situation was not as hopeless as it was. They kept on believing that there were secret weapons that would turn the tide of the war in their favour, even during the last weeks of the war. I think you should be able to figure this out for yourself. I think the statement is worded in such a way that it is clear that I was referring to prior to WWII.

Liberals give the boot to another racist candidate
kengs333 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think Canadians should be concerned in general. Not only does this raise concerns about freedom of the press, but it also raises questions about the power that certain special interest groups have in influencing or (potential) leaders. In my opinion, I think the most virulent bigoted opinions in the country are those expressed towards Christians, and my guess is that there are numerous candidates in this election that at one time expressed in printed or spoken word hatred towards Christ, Christians, and the Bible. But the chances of any of these people being exposed and/or "fired" for such conduct is remote to none. -

Is that what she claims? I'm under the impression that she only states that some people we tipped off about the attack. I believe ABC ran a story a few days after the attacks about a group of Israeli citizens who were seen cheering as the the WTC was burning. They were later tracked down to Israel, where they had hastily returned to, where they of course denied their behaviour (despite numerous witnesses) and apparently links to the Israeli secret service. -

Well, no, he made it quite clear that the CJC had wanted him to do it, and so he did it. Claiming that certain people may have been tipped off somehow is not exactly racist. Israel is in the habit of feeding intelligence about terrorists to the United States, and it is not beyond the realm of possibility that some would have been withheld in order to facilitate the entry of the US into a "war on terror," ie. to give Bush the justification he needed to go to war with Iraq. -
The assertion was that the Nazis resorted to using old men and children, and I simply pointed out that the old men would mostly have had previous military experience and that children--well they were mostly teens--were capable of fighting. The Hitler Jugend division was a tough unit which the Canadians had difficulty dealing with. Since it was a unit specifically comprised of children, is serves as an example of how capable these children were as soldiers. Other youth would have been scattered among other units, so it's difficult to assess how capable they were, but seeing that they too would have been subject to the same indoctrination, it's not unrealistic to assume that the use of children wasn't all that much of an act of desperation as simply a logical expedient in a difficult time. The British Army and Navy routinely used children in dangerous roles and combat situations. What's a "hilters fire brigade"?

I haven't been proven wrong.

There's a reason why you are still flipping burgers and read comic books, I suppose; if that's what you think lawyers do ("a lot of time in libraries"????)...

You should try reading your own posts. Don't you think it is a bit hypocritical that someone should be charged for something that Indians are allowed to get away with with impunity? After all, they destroy and disrespect a legal and legitimate symbol of Canada, while this guy was removing the de facto flag of a quasi-terrorist organization. I guess the fact that he's suing the OPP for their inability to protect his property and quality of life has nothing to do with this, either. -
i dunno

Do you have any idea what it takes to be a lawyer? Trust me, once you make it as a lawyer, you'll be living all right--and certainly not sitting in dirt hole getting shot at in the process. As for the rest of your post, it's interesting the lengths that people go to in order to justify their inability to develop and intellect and apply themselves to finding occupations that require the application of said intellect.

American-style school shooting in Finland
kengs333 replied to kengs333's topic in The Rest of the World
*sigh* "a little bit childish," am I? Ho-hum, whatever... Nice little social darwinistic rant... I would agree with you if humans had brains the size of walnuts, but that its not the case... humans are not born violent because as infants we are helpless, incapable of walking or fending for ourselves, thus are subject to a great deal of nurture before we are able to function on our own. -
McCain suspends campaign

When was this? I remember when the Iraq war started, I was one of the few people who thought the justification was bogus. Now everyone knows that Iraq was a mistake, and Bush has a very low approval rating.

Governance and war are two different things. Even during the wars, the respective governments were able to maintain social stability under very difficult conditions. -
The US has already gone into Pakistand looking for the enemy, there is no reason why they won't again; Pakistan isn't doing enough, and they're even assisting the terrorists in some respects. It's clear that in order to solve the problem in Afghanistan, Pakistan has to be dealt with. So I think it will.

*yawn* whatever. Of course, pick the exact opposite and just make up an argument. Too bad the reality of the matter is that people are not born violent. -

They're just going through the motions. There's no need for them to change their gun laws because the problem with guns is the mindset of the people who use them. Finland doesn't have the same American-style obsession/deranged devotion to guns. -

Is that how you define educating and civilizing people? I'll admit that Europeans didn't treat the natives all that well at times, but at least they freed some of these people from living lives as illiterate headhunters. I already stated why it exploded; once you take away the stability provided by European governance and replace it with nationalism, ethnic differences, and communism, the doo-doo hits the fan [i should add Islam to this, too]. Also, developing a stable form of government is something that takes time, which was the case with Europe. Perhaps Europeans were a little delusional in thinking that they could pass on these hard learned lessons to the people of Africa. -

I never said any of these things "solely" originate from the USA. What I said was that movies produced in the United States, American gun culture, American gang violence, the NRA, originate in the USA and are a part of American culture that influence culture in the west in general. You should learn how comprehend what you read properly, and to not attribute to the write your miscomprehensions. -

People are not inherently violent; this is something that is learned. Movies that promote violence are key influences in perpetuating violence in our society.
