Well, you missed the point that we're not ready to even start such a discussion. Furthermore, you assume that the conclusion will blame Muslims so your post is a lost cause IMO.
Well, you missed my point. Under the Liberals there would not be an "objective" inquiry therefore there would be no conclusion.

It would be nice to have an objective inquiry as to the causes, but if we're still blaming groups (effectively because we don't like them) then we don't have a public base from which we can launch that inquiry. If someone can suggest a way then I'm all for it.
Well don't look to the Liberals to launch such an "objective" inquiry. They're much too afraid the results would put muslims in a bad light. I mean, think of all the lost votes.

I would like that as well. Problem is a court challenge against such action would be successful. It goes way back to the "two founding nations" principle and entente when Canada came to be.

Well, now we're seeing the Doug Ford many of thought would emerge. He's taking the axe to Toronto city council, reducing the number of wards from 47 to 25, and cancelling the regional chair elections in Peel and York. There will be a lot of unhappy campers at city hall, for sure. I'm wondering if this is also intended as a warning shot to Tory not to undermine Ford's position on the illegal/irregular migrant crisis? Tory has been negotiating separately with the federal government to resolve the refugee claimant housing crisis, with the result that many of the migrants will soon be housed in hotels. Meanwhile, our growing horde of homeless get sleeping bags and maybe a cot in a church basement on cold nights, if they're lucky. It's quite a contrast. A friend who didn't support Ford's Conservatives in the election is now saying he's quickly warming to him. I believe Ford's "I'm in charge here" move will have broader repercussions.
There's talk that Ford took this action to stick it to his political opponents. Yet, he has a caucus to answer to and I doubt the majority of them share any of the personal animosity attributed to Ford.

"Journalists in this country are deliberately spinning the news. They have their own agenda and don’t want Canadians to know the truth — in this case, that police are still probing whether or not the shooter was indeed motivated by his Islamic faith. Instead, media outlets across the country downplay ties to terrorism, while frantically pushing an unverified claim about mental illness."
Ouch!
Journalists may unwittingly be playing into the hands of the Liberal government who would like nothing more than to sweep this matter from the front pages and social media. Persuading the public that mental illness is at play and not terrorism is most probably a very good outcome for the Liberals.

Here's new info regarding the gun used by the Danforth shooter.
QuoteThe semi-automatic handgun used in Sunday’s deadly rampage in Toronto’s Greektown that killed two people and injured 13 others was stolen during a break-and-enter in Saskatoon in 2015, a police source told CTV News.
A source familiar with the case told CP24 on Wednesday that the gun used by Faisal Hussain, the 29-year-old man who police claim carried out the shooting before dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was likely obtained from a “gang-related source.”
The theft of the firearm used by Hussain occurred around the same time that Hussain’s brother Fahad, who is currently in a drug-induced coma, was arrested in Saskatoon on drug charges, court documents seen by CTV Saskatoon show.

Would it have been too much for Trudeau to forego a couple of personal leave days to return to Ottawa in light of a major -terrorist and/or mental - attack in Toronto? If only as a symbolic act to show he cares about Canadians.
You can bet he would not book personal leave to coincide with Pride parades. In Ottawa the parade takes place on August 26. He'll be there with bells on.

Maybe a stroke predicated by a drug overdose?
But ya, I noticed the same thing.
Yes, I'm certain a drug overdose could cause a stroke. IMO though, the average person who reads that someone had a stroke would not link the stroke to a drug overdose but to heart disease.

We are being manipulated by the spin doctors. Tara fatah is calling it a Jihad attack
Have you noticed, some media are reporting the shooter's brother who is in a coma, suffered a stroke and others report he had a drug overdose. Come on, there's a vast difference in the two conditions. Reporting a stroke raises sympathy from some people for the shooter's family. On the other hand drug overdose raises the specter of a criminal life.

I don't think the CBC has been alone in this approach,
Are you not a tiny bit curious why the statement purported to be from the family was emailed to the CBC and no other media? And this immediately following the disclosure of the shooter's identity. There is more than meets the eye here.

The longer it takes for public officials to communicate information about the shooter's connections, online activities and possible motives, the more likely it is many will conclude that an agenda to suppress details is afoot.
QuoteWithin hours CBC News obtained an unsigned letter purportedly from the killer’s family, stating the mass shooter Faisal Hussain had a lifelong struggle with “severe mental health challenges,” including “psychosis and depression.”
Thus the subject on the evening news became one of lack of funding of mental health and gun crime, painting the murderer himself as a victim with not even a hint of anger at the man who had declared war on a Toronto street of partygoers, killing two girls, 18 and 10. Never once did a single participant have the courage to raise the possibility of the killer being inspired by jihadi teachings that portray partying on streets by women as evil and satanic.
The most apt response to the hours of political correctness came from an Australian Islamic cleric, Imam Mohammed Tawhidi who has been to Canada and is familiar with the Islamist networks in the country. He tweeted: “If you think all these Jihadi terrorists kill because they have a mental illness, then perhaps you are the one with a mental illness. It’s not mental illness, it’s their allegiance.”
---
There are questions that remain unanswered – like which mosque Hussain attended, who scrubbed his social media presence and how it was that his name was withheld until the family issued their polished statement.
We should all be troubled that the state broadcaster has inserted itself into this specific case. The CBC has turned into a propaganda machine. It was the CBC that aimed the spotlight on the mental illness issue and gun crime to divert from the aspect of a potential Muslim hate crime against average Canadians.

It's a great time to be a hotel owner, especially in Ontario and Québec.
QuoteThe 800 asylum seekers currently being housed in Toronto’s university dormitories, for example, will soon be moved to hotels as the schools get set to welcome students back in the fall. It remains unclear how many hotel rooms will be necessary, however, or for how long.
It's astonishing. The government has no plan and does not appear to know what it's doing.
QuoteBlair also admitted on Tuesday that he has not even received his mandate letter from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Will minister Goodale be reporting to you?” Rempel asked Blair early in the day.
“No,” he answered.
“Will the (Canada Border Services Agency) be reporting to you?” Rempel asked.
“No. I have not received my mandate letters from the prime minister just yet so I cannot speculate on what my role will be,” Blair replied.
Rempel voiced skepticism about Blair’s cabinet appointment, questioning whether it was simply a public relations exercise that would create more bureaucracy.

Trudeau has been vacationing in BC and can't be bothered. The PM is abdicating his responsibilities. It was bad before but now the situation is unraveling more rapidly.

Go to China and see how much immigrant love is there...or maybe Japan !
Don't know about China, but Japan has a very low crime rate and immigrant assimilation is very high. I'm guessing it's because they are picky about who they accept as immigrants.

This silly ass bull chit needs to stop but will our asleep at the switch as always politicians decide to do something about this criminality? Personally, I doubt that they will do anything about it. Our politicians appear to be always asleep at the switch. What the hell and why are we the Canadian people paying these guys/gals for? They all appear to continue to want to make an ass out of Canada all the time. Disgusting.
Every immigrant and refugee accepted by Canada represents a vote for the political party that oversaw their arrival here. That's quite an incentive for increasing those arrivals.

Unfortunately, what happens is that we must take many years of legal hearings and appeals before a decision is rendered, by which time the individual is quite at home here and simply does not leave.
The odds of being accepted as a refugee increase significantly if you bear a child on Canadian soil. I mean, as you know all you have to do is give birth in a plane over Canadian airspace and the kid is automatically a citizen.

I have heard that Canada is an extremely hard country to get into if you are an actual immigrant.
Anyone who queue's up in the immigration line has it all wrong. The trick is to cross into Canada illegally and your odds of being accepted are just as good as trying to come in through regular means.
