  1. The warfare was neither constant nor anywhere as brutal as modern civilized warfare. There was no cannibalism in NA native culture. Torture and casual brutality did not exist anywhere to the degree it is found in modern civilized states, even Canada. What did i admire? I admire the respect they showed for the earth. I admired the skill they had to live in the wild with almost no predation. I admired their sustainability. I admired their sense of kinship with the land and with their tribes. I admired their total lack of crime. I admire their sense of time. I admire their lack of totalitarian expansion and exploitation. There are really so many things to admire about the native way of life. Modern civilization? I cant think of much that i admire at all. Andrew How old are you? They showed respect for the earth because they didn't have chainsaws or an economic system to benefit from knocking down trees if they did. Hand them a tract of forest and a chainsaw today and watch what happens. They also respected the earth because stoneage medicine doesn't do real well at keeping populations in a state of growth, so there was never any pressure on the land. Even the practise of driving whole herds of buffalo over cliffs to harvest a few livers wasn't enough to depopulate the buffalo herds. Indians had to get their hands on rifles before that happened. The warfare was indeed constant, and so was the slavery. They weren't too kind to Jesuits either, and it is strongly suspected that they learned all about skinning people alive long before the Jesuits showed up. Please show me an instance in modern canada of someone being flayed alive by the state. You can't? What about publicly being burnt alive? Not much of that around since the 14th century either, I reckon. Do you have the slightest idea of what you are talking about or does this all come from Mary Poppins and the 7 braves?
  2. But that's what I mean. All other races have a territorial homeland in which they are largely homogenous. That used to be true of caucasians in Europe as well, but by choice, that homogeniety is disappearing. Once it does, the race itself stands no chance of surviving as an entity.
  3. Please Xman, I asked specifically to not have this thread degenerate into this childish namecalling. You obviously have nothing of any worth to add, so please don't post here.
  4. What's your problem. How old are you anyway?
  5. Let's try to stay focussed here...you DO know that EI is not some idiotic socialist plan to ensure against poverty in society, right?
  6. Stupid quote of the day...
  7. Go away please.
  8. I don't see why not. The Liberals were the ones who put the original order for the Halifax-class frigates in 1983. http://jproc.ca/rrp/halifax.html Yeah, and wasn't it the Liberals who ordered the first iron hulled ships way back in...well..way back when men were men and sheep...well...way back then. Surely they have fulfilled their military procurement obligations by now? What more do we expect? Rifled cannon? Tiger Moths? No sense upgrading precipitously, right?
  9. You are just making up figures. 99%? Give me a break. Why the ad hominem? Why are you so concerned that more and more people are exposing this panic-driven farce? Follow the money? The money lies on the side of promoting this foolish hysteria.
  10. This isn't a reality check, it's a call for short-sightedness. Enoch Powell might have been a bit of a wacko, but he was prescient on several issues, one of which was the great danger of allowing wide open immigration of people from cultures which were hostile, in many respects, to that of the native UK. He was villified and fired and called every name in the book. But how many British in 1968 could imagine what London looks like today, and how many would have been horrified if they had? Muslims are only 1.9%? Perhaps. In 1981 the total Muslim population was 98,165. Ten years later it stood at 253,260. Ten years later it stood at 580,000. That was as of 2001, in case you're not keeping track. The Muslim population has been essentially doubling every ten years. When religion is added to the next census the Muslim population will easily be over 1 million, most of them concentrated in central Canada. Ten years later it will be over two million, then over four, then eight. Most of you are of an age when you will still be around when it reaches 16. What will Canada look like with 16- 20 million Muslims if they retain their cultural practices and beliefs? It will be a little late, by then, to do much about it if you don't like the answer. Excellent post, as usual. It would be great if you'd add an opinion to the similar, but somewhat different, question in the thread I started.
  11. Thanks Xman. Now any serious posts? I recognize the urge many feel to jam threads and shout down questions like this, because at least one generation has been raised to see questions of this sort as heretical, and has been indoctrinated in and assured by revisionist history that caucasians are the cause of 90% of the world's woes, but it's a rather silly view, and I was hoping to avoid that nonsense in at least one thread. I really don't care less whether I'm considered a "racist" or not, but it would be nice if we could save the nonsense for other threads. I'm doing some research on this topic, and I'm looking for serious opinions, not childish rhetoric.
  12. Otherwise known as "positive freedom."
  13. They were taking a lot of heat for gender inequality, so they thought this was a fine way to take the heat off while preserving their culture, perhaps?
  14. International reaction will though. The US couldn't go in an seize a possible gas or oil site because of international pressure. The US can act unilaterally against common enemies of the West, but pushing that agenda against a G8 nation surely would be unproductive. The cost to the US would be far greater than whatever benefits a company would get from a gas well. An invasion of Canada's claimed land by force would be massively condemned throughout the world. I think you're missing the point though. The US doesn't recognize many of Canada's claims in the arctic, and there are a great many other countries who don't either. In fact, that's why Canada is so concerned about showing the flag there, because really, much, if not most, of the territory it claims is only Canadian in the minds of the Canadian government. If the US set up a drilling rig in disputed territory, it's not an "invasion of Canada" as far as international law is concerned.
  15. Before a helpful moderator moves, or combines, or changes the title, or hides this thread under the bed, I'd like to rephrase a question Jerry asked; I can't support his original contention, because I find the category of "white" too indeterminant, and the exclusion of the French absurd. Besides, that thread has degenerated into namecalling and general cacophany. But survival of a race is very much a valid question. I don't mean the euphemisms of culture and all the other sidesteps we tend to use, nor do I mean culture. For the purpose of this exercize, and to head off Momo et. al. who tend to obfuscate the genetic question, let's define race as follows: ...observable characteristics as skin color, hair type, body proportions, and skull measurements, essentially codifying the perceived differences among broad geographic populations of humans. The traditional terms for these populations—Caucasoid (or Caucasian), Mongoloid, Negroid, and in some systems Australoid... No doubt this definition falls down on many fronts and we can beat about the bush all we want, infinitely parsing it this way and that, but we all know what people mean when they say "caucasion," don't we, really? And since my question revolves around Caucasians, the rest is really secondary. -------------------- Anyway, the question is this: Is anyone concerned that Caucasians are intentionally destroying themselves as a homogenous race? It's a fair question, I think, because that is the course embarked upon many years ago when the traditionally Caucasian nations embarked upon policies, almost as one, to institute mass immigration of so-called "visible minorities." Again, I'd ask that folks focus on the question and not get side tracked by what you might think my sinister motives are for asking it, and I'd ask that the accusations of "racism" be held to a minimum...every other racially homogenous region in the world asks these kinds of questions as a matter of course. And it is a fair question. Given the below replacement birthrates of caucasians across the board, if the west continues on this path, caucasians will become a minority in their own traditional lands, and eventually be absorbed into the other genetic pools. I'm sure I forgot some caveats, but the question stands...is anyone concerned? Is anyone not concerned?
  16. Coulter is hot. That's an absolute truth, not an opinion. Plato even had a form for Coulter. LOL...Are you from Rygel 7???? Or are you in prison somewhere? No. He's desparate. Hey, at least I'm not hysterical about GW...
  17. Your wealth will do nothing to help you from what's coming, child. What in God's name are you talking about? Do you seriously believe this nonsense about impending catastrophe? Goof grief. I truly think hysteria has gripped the minds of some people. According to Swedish paleogeophysicist Nils-Axel Mörner, who’s been studying and writing about sea levels for four decades, the scientists working for the IPCC have falsified data and destroyed evidence to incorrectly prove their point. http://newsbusters.org/node/13698
  18. Desperate people do desperate things. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our U.S. tax dollars went for health care instead of bombs? Wouldn't it be wonderful if petrodollars went for improving the lives of Arabs and not into human walking bombs? I have a wonderful idea. Instead of allowing these people to finance the spread of a death cult and its contingent human bombs, lets colonize them again, take away the petrodollars, and institute healthcare both there and here with them. Then we can send another Lawrence of Arabia over there to get them riled up to attack Turkey or somewhere to take their minds off petrodollars.
  19. I'm afraid you've become confused. Gore was making the claim that CO2 is the cause of Venus' hot atmosphere. If CO2 were the cause, Mars would be as hot as Venus.
  20. Like I said, there is a Platonic form for blond beauty, and Coulter is it.
  21. You really ought to get a life sometime... just sayin'. Why thank you. I'll take it under consideration. In the meantime, I do hope you don't have academic credentials to defend...they appear to be streaming behind you in tatters at the moment.
  22. I'll take your comment as ill-informed rather than malicious. The Irgun were, by some definition, terrorists. They attacked the King David Hotel (after telephoning a warning to the Brits to "scram"). The Brits' response was "we don't take orders from Jews". The Haganah, or regular forces, were in no way terrorists. They in fact forced the Irgun to lay down their arms when the Haganah's successors, the Labor Party, took power in 1948. All negotiations were through the Haganah. Unlike the Muslim Brotherhood, they had the power to enter into binding deals and, by disarming the Irgun, ensuuring that the deals would be kept. The Muslim Brotherhood has no such ability or intention. Awwww and poor MM finally thought he had a real zinger...
  23. Since Canada claims large chunks of the arctic by virtue of a treaty not many other countries have signed, it will take a significant presence in the arctic to make the slightest difference. In fact, a few cities or at least civilian occupied outposts would be a good idea, as long as the next Liberal government doesn't give them away to some Indian with a tenuous claim to it afterwards. The presence of civilians who claim allegiance to canada will go a lot further than a military presence. A couple of frigates bobbing about isn't going to stop a concerted effort by anyone to occupy and utilize sites in the artic.
  24. Exactly, back to capitalism, the same system that got the rest of the first world to where it is now. Yes, but it drove Asia, and in particular the Pacific seaboard, into virtual bancruptcy in the mid 90s. One does not simply drag a third world state into the first world overnight. Sure it will someday drag itself into the first world, but it won't happen overnight, and it won't happen under it's current political system. Oh, and to Kuzzad...go back and research what Goldman Sachs said about the "Pacific Tigers" in 1990. Then investigate what DID happen to the Pacific Tigers.
  25. Not true. Reversing the meanings of words has been well under way for some time. Terms like "freedom" have been co-opted by the positivists to mean precisely the opposite of what it once meant; "equality" no longer refers to equality under the law, but instead to equality of material outcome, and there are any number of words the left has run away with and changed, not least the term "liberal," in an effort to push leftwing right think. Orwellian connotes many things, including political brainwashing, total control by the state of every aspect of one's life, and, to almost anyone with functioning memory cells, a populace standing uncritically in thrall to a message...which is precisely what Jerry quite correctly described. If you must make sweeping generalizations, at least make sure they tend toward being correct.
