Biden's goal of 70% first-dose vaccination by July 4th is an admission that demand for vaccination will plummet.

"Canada probably won't reach herd immunity against COVID-19 anytime soon" (if ever)....no kidding.

Canada’s Vaccine Mess
Canada has universal health care and millions of doses on order. So why are so few of its citizens vaccinated?

No other nation is extending as long as Canada is (16 weeks). Are Canadians "stupid" for refusing vaccines or traveling to the U.S. to get them sooner ?
What makes you the judge...for Canadians or Americans...many of whom will not ever be vaccinated for various reasons ?
Your government failed...so point at Americans...typical.

The U.S. will always have more covid vaccine than Canada...and the ability to manufacture much more. Canada is a covid vaccine deadbeat because of an incompetent federal government/leader.
Canadians have already refused AZ vaccine, but I would not call them morons.
Canada at highest infection rate...U.S. at lowest.

LOL...pre-empted your demand for a "cite?"
Continuing vaccine shortages are a disaster for Canadians. How many Americans are going to Canada for a covid vaccine ?
Lockdowns, police rebellion, airport quarantines, fines, etc. greet Canadians each day now as the scramble continues.
Didn't have to be this way....sad.

‘It’s like buying candy’: Expert says it’s easy for Canadians to get vaccinated in U.S. Here’s how
A growing number of United States border towns are dolling out COVID-19 vaccines to Canadians who are desperately trying to get a shot amid a surging third wave.
And it’s not just border towns that are giving away leftover vaccines. Other U.S. states, like Ohio and Indiana, don’t require proof of citizenship for inoculations, meaning Canadians can hop on a plane and get a shot.

MONTREAL -- Some Montrealers have refused the newly approved AstraZeneca vaccine when showing up to their appointments, officials say, as fears grow about the vaccine's potential side effects.
'I JUST WALKED OUT'
One of those who refused the AstraZeneca shot was Sheldon Ashley, who said he declined it on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium clinic once he was told the brand of vaccine that would be used.

The EU is discussing travel with the U.S., not Canada, which reached highest infection rate ever. Some Canadians are refusing the AZ vaccine. Canada is still far behind on fully vaccinated.
Some provinces still on hard lockdown....people protesting....police refusing to enforce. Sad really....Canadians deserve better from their governments.
Toronto and Montreal authorities have already struggled with unfilled vaccine appointments, some long-term-care-home workers are refusing vaccines and, according to Halifax Today, roughly 20 to 30 per cent of Nova Scotians eligible for the vaccine say they don’t plan on getting it. - National Post

Herd Immunity unlikely in the United States.

Wholly dependent on foreign + COVAX supply....or is Trudeau and Sophie making vaccines in the basement ?
At least you admit it is cheating....violating recommendations....and stretching the risk over a longer interval to meet some political goal of Sept 1. 'Cause that's all this is for the ruling government in Ottawa....half a vaccine is better than none, right ?
"Supply is limited"....no kidding.
Again, just what the hell has Canada done for this vaccine effort ?

Canada won't have it either...as many there also refuse vaccination, especially with AZ. Cheating on the dosage interval is not a good look either...."follow the science"....except when desperate.
Canada (10th largest world GDP) was not part of phase testing trials for currently approved vaccines, cannot manufacture them (even under license), and is wholly dependent on foreign/COVAX supply.
Just what the hell has Canada done for this vaccine effort ?

It will be whatever it is...there is no uniform benchmark for all epidemiologists. Studies do not produce vaccines...pharma corps do with funding. Whatever happens in Canada will be acceptable to you, while you criticize the U.S. no matter what happens there. How many vaccines has Canadian pharma provided to the U.S./world.
